So i had the transmission and rear axle/diferential fluid changed at the dealer. Anyways i was cleaning under the car today and saw this cover by the rear diff. Has this thing always been there and i just didn't notice it or did they put it back on upside down. I am thinking of adding motons and this cover is barely 2 inches of the ground

That is upside down. I wouldn't go back there if they get something so simple wrong.

oh my gosh, I think they need to start drug testing at that dealership, how could any 'mechanic' be that goofy to put the heat shield, etc on upside down like that??!!

that would really make me worry about the actual work they did, if it were me I'd go back & get the service mgr & show him, get the work double checked & hopefully some cash back for having to go back.

HAHAHAHA thats just funny. Its like installing a hood upside down and wondering why its not laying flat. The tech must have been a serious *****.

Come on !!
Oh my God??

Not to steal your thread but since you posted the topic about the underside of the Viper, I was wondering what you guys use to clean the underside of the car. I mean if you guys clean it at all. The manual states that you should clean the undeside from dirt/ salt etc.....to avoid corrosion.

I thought I would just hose it down on my lift. Is there a chemical I can spray the udeside to clean it well.

Thanks
Patrick

Better yet when you go there tell them you want the name and phone number for the district service manager and call him about this useless dealer. be sure to get his email so you can send the pictures to him. I would ask him for a full refund and a certificate from DC for a free service at the dealer of your choice.

Wormdoggy, I just pressure wash the underside of mine on the lowest pressure setting with clean water only. I do not like to use chemicals as they tend to leave a residue on the paint and frame. For you guys who do not ow an SRT-10 Viper I would refrain from washing the earlier vipers as they tend to rust out the side sills as there is only primer and paint on them. this happened to my friends at ZA and they have had to replace the side sills and get them painted at great expense.

HAHAHAAA!!!!! brings back memories!!! ;)

my car was the same way when I originally bought it...except they were smart enough to put the exhaust shield where it was supposed to go. The air duct got scraped up a bit before I figured out what was going on though lol
