Valve Covers are Painted

It was more work than I planned but they are painted and installed.

I have a green car and didn't like the red valve covers. I thought about painting them body color but decided to do them in silver and I am happy with the look.

That looks super, I wasted my money on billet ally valve covers, that i
eventually dumped, that is the look I wanted.
Did you powder coat, or base and lacquer?

I used a spray can. It's Dupli-color Engine enamel DE 1650 Aluminum. I scrubbed down the covers with a Scotch Brite pad and a little Lacquer thinner and then wiped it down with some Naphtha.

Silver paint is very easy to spray, I guess it is the pigment that is used. You have to be careful painting depressions because it will run easily.

It is not a high gloss it is more of a satin finish which I like.

I have used this paint on my other car and it looks great.
