Viper Decal Across Front Windshield, Cool Or Not?
Thinking about it, I think it might make my car look even more lowered. And if I go for it where would I get it?
Thanks, JC :usa:

Better not ask me. I had my car totally debadged. I don't like stickers and emblems. If people can't tell it's a Viper, they are not worth trying to impress anyway.

JC, personally I'm not a fan of the decals. If you are so inclined you can find quite a variety on eBay. Snake Oyl also has them in their catalog.

NOT COOL :)

The only decal I'll put on my car is a business name, and that's only if I get to write the car off as a business expense ;)

No Decals! No Badging! No advertising of ANY kind unless you pay me. Sponsorship is advertising.

I don't care to be any companies billboard. I dislike all forms of advertisment on products I have to pay for.

Do it! Do it! Do it!

Also lower your seats so you can look where you're going under your Viper Type R decal.

Dodge decal yes, Viper decal No-No-No.

Racecar yes.

How come putting a Dodge decal is different than a Viper decal? I'd think that someone who didn't mind a Dodge decal wouldn't mind a Viper decal either... enlighten me?

You know what would be even cooler? A sticker that says "HardViper" across the windshield. You'd slay the tail with that.

I have a dark tinted strip across the top of my windsheild (installed by the previous owner), and have thought about his suggestion of putting the DODGE banner decal over the same location on the outside. I'm not a big fan of decals either, but think I may like it. Hey, it's vinyl, it will come off ! ! TRY IT...

Depends on the color combo you use IMO..

RX - I'll have to say that sticker doesn't look as bad on that color combo. It looks like the lettering is a little smaller than most others I've seen, though.

On my IT racecar, the vinyl strip at the top was definitely needed... helped keep the glare off of you. I guess a sticker at the top of a Viper windshield would do the same thing, but... oh well, to each his/her own. If you think it looks good do it!

Dodge sticker was on the Oreca (and some others)race cars and on press release of the 1996 Pace car when introduced. I quess I am simply used to seing Dodge sticker across the windshield and I think it looks cool on a right car. Red/white stripe or (expecially) blue/white stripe GTS combo begs a sticker.... Viper sticker looks in my opinion ricy, kind of like "Hey, Its a VIPER", but thats only my opinion. Besides I have ricy spoilers on both ends of the car, so I am propably not qualified to say what is ricy and what not. :D

Here are 2 reasons why the sticker looks good!

I used to be the only Sapphire/Silver car in our local chapter of the VCA and now there are 2 more. I like it, just to be a bit different.

I don't get the decal and logo mania. The Viper is such a distinct car yet a lot of people want to put the logo on every imaginable place possible. Here's a list.

Front bumper (stock)
Center caps on wheels (stock)
Center brake light (stock)
Wheel stem caps
License plate screws
License plate frame
Hood pad
Bumper stickers (VCA, etc)
Windshield decal
Gas cap
Floor mats
Trunk mat
Seats
Shifter
Glove box
Console logo

Did I miss any? LOL. And some people have at least 10 of them. Talk of an identity crisis.

As a person with impeccable taste, just ask me, I believe that the Viper looks best when understated.

We are talking street cars here.

Stripes and wings do not belong on a street Viper.
Factory side and front emblems are a distraction from the car's outrageously great lines.

The addition of race car style decals on the windshield or anywhere else is really out of the question for Viper owners who are old enough to buy their own beer.

I feel bad telling everyone these basic truths. I know that some folks in the wing and decal industry will suffer because of my, soon to be widely agreed with, style comments.

Sorry, I have to call em' as I see em'.

After removing your wings, please dispose of them properly so they do not fall into the hands of children.

Yves,
It feels good to be right for a change, doesn't it? ;-)
Now get rid of all those silly political opinions.

Front plates,
They don't look nice do they?

When I'm the Governor I'll change the Maryland law. Until then, I'm not going to drive around displaying a good reason for the man to mess with me.

joe117,
2 plates are the law in Texas also. Have not had front plates on my three cars since moving here in 1998 and have had no tickets. Live dangerously!
