Well my name is Roy, and Royman was a nickname I picked up from highschool sports that stuck through college. My first vanity plate on my vette (rip) was Royman, and I use it on all my other forums as well.

Pretty simple (and my kids would say nerdy) In HS and college I paid my way playing drums in bands. After college did it full time throughout the country before going to law school.

Won't say how long ago but Carter (now our 2nd worst President) was in office.

Unfortunately, there are still enough awkward pictures that exist so that every so often they turn up during a social event at my law firm--embarassing.

Mine is actually a reference to my 1970 Plymouth Duster. I have used Phun70 as my screen name and e-mail forever. I actually sold the Duster to buy the Viper. The wife said I had too many cars so one had to go. The Phun is meant to be said as "fun" as in a fun 70.. Phun is just a play on the old Phister faucet ads. The Phaucet with the Phunny name!

Forum name has two part meaning. I am a big horse racing fan and Big Jag was the name of a champion sprinter race horse based in California. Also, have always been a big fan of Jaguar cars. Bought the one in the pic below new in 1993 and sold in 2005. Previous to that I had a very rare XJS-R that got totaled in a wreck. Rear ended by a kid in a Mustang who was doing 60-70 mph and I was at a stop on a highway due to an accident ahead. The kid didn't notice everyone was stopped.

Very interesting thread! Kinda cool to see what the reason is behind the names!

Mine is easy!

It was originally a play off of the 60's Dodge Commercials with the slogan "Im one of the Dodge Boys". As I love all things Mopar regardless of if its a 80s truck or a 60's slant 6, I made a slight change! :)

First thing people say when they see my car...

I actually sarted using it years ago for a Yahoo fantasy racing league (Nerd Alert!!!). It has stuck with me and I have been using it since. Besides, my other alias (AK92Champ) didn't really fit here and I got sick of explaining it to people.

Actually a dual meaning. I once flatlined for 21 seconds while in the hospital for a minor procedure. I woke up just prior to them wacking me with the paddles. That would have sucked!!! No real reason and no negative lasting effects. Also meaning the kids are through college and I'm back into the gearhead stuff 100%.

Bird325 ... kind of an unusual beginning. The BIRD part comes from my sport motorcycle club and riding a Honda Blackbird at the time (fastest production bike in the world for many years!). The 325 is from my call numbers when I was volunteering on a Search and Rescue team with my hound dog finding lost people. Did that for 9 years, no pay, but lots of appreciation. It's what I've used for many years along with Ramrod ... THAT'S a whole 'nother story.

Mine came from a carshow i attended when I was 18. I had just purchased my second new corvette and at the carshow i saw a new vette, the limited silver/black pace car with the tag WANTED on it. For some reason I really liked the tag because I thought it went well with the car. Anyhow ever since i have tried to get that tag. I have a friend who is a local sherrif where i live and had told him about the tag one time. Out of the blue he calls me stating the tag had not been renewed and if i wanted it i better act fast. Its fun just watching people read it and see them talking in their cars about it. Since totalling my viper the tag is now on my son's car until i get my next viper. The tag will now always be in our family. So that is how i decided to use it as my forum name.

WANTED :D

The OK is for Oklahoma where I live, and the loneranger comes from the fact that my wife hates the Viper, never wanted me to get it and has never so much as sat in it. So, all most all of the time when I drive it I am by myself, alone. She finally physically touched the car, for the first time that I know of, last Saturday when the battery died and we had to push it back into the garage. She knows it is a special car because of all the attention neighbors and family have shown it. So, it is tolerated.

Indeed, that is a familiar story.... Could be mine.

If I had to give up my vehicles, the last thing that I would be holding in my cold dead hands would be my 4X4 truck. Sorry Vettes, motorcycles and Viper.

That's what the 4X4 in my screen name refers to. I have had 4X4's since the 70's.
