What RPM do you launch a SRT-10?

I have an 06 Coupe with run craps and just wondering what RPM guys with run craps are launching at the drag strip for their best et?

Anywhere between idle and redline, depending on condition of track, weather conditions, etc.


In other words, there is NO magic number. Ya gotta see what works and what doesn't, and adjust from there.

Does adjusting air pressure in a run crap do anything?

The runcraps are not any better with a pressure change, I went from 18-32psi.The best I could get with them was a 1.8 60' launching at 1800-2000

Most mags launch at 3000 rpm.

Best results for a stock 06 will be right around 1,500 rpm.

Slip the clutch just a tad as you roll into the throttle.

Will get you out of the hole with just a bit of tire spin.

Be carefull to smoothly shift into 2nd to avoid shocking your driveline, and causing your tires to spin out of control.

Track conditions will cause you to slightly modify this approach due to traction available.

Do not let air out of your run flats. You need a flat cross section. Low pressure will have you running just on the edges.
