I'd argue that given the chance to compare the available max 315/35 BFG drag radial against the 335/35 Michelin Pilot on a well prepped drag strip with an experienced driver, the difference would be negligible. As for cheater slicks, if you're referring to a DOT approved drag slick (such as the ET streets), those are the ONLY 10.5W drag tire commonly available for the viper. M/T discontinued the 26x16x10.5 ET Drag (true slick) over a year ago because of small demand and the contradiction of a wrinkle-wall slick with a small sidewall. This means all 9 second passes in the last year or so have been made on "cheater slicks" because that is all all you can find. Scott

Scott,
I don't disagree, I am just saying that anyone who says "10.3 is the fastest that has ever been run on street tires" is an impossible statement to say with any conviction. A guy at my track runs low 10.2's (not ni a Viper) on pilot sports and he isn't a guy that posts on the boards. We assume that because a time is well known it is the fastest. I know a bunch of guys who race at my track who are never on the board. I've seen mid-10 second runs in Vipers on pilots. Who is to say none of those other guys have ever bested a 10.3?
