Don't know top ET's, but I have seen one of my club members run a 1.7xx 60' on Pirelli P-Zeros. One of the best 60's I've seen from a viper. Unfortuantly, he hit that time against me

I'm sure Dan is looking for the quickest e/t with a modified viper on stock michelins, not a stock car. IMHO, most of the big nitrous cars see little point in running down the quarter mile on pilots with concrete barriers on both sides of the car, most super-charged cars prefer the dyno and have never seen a dragstrip and the only turbo car I've seen on pilots had solid mph but no ET. Regardless, these are the numbers that come to mind.

-ON STOCK PILOTS-
1.) an infamous texas monkey ran a 10.3 in a GTS with bolt-ons and a 2-stage 300 shot of NOS
2.) Jaime Furman has ran consistent 10.7's or 10.8's in a heffner s/c GTS
3.) Steve Ueligger run 10.90's on a near stock car w/ BTR nitrous system
4.) LPE ran 11.1 not too long ago with a N/A stroker.
5.) A HMS turbo car ran low 11's at over 133

I never witnessed Jaime's car but many have. The rest I believe is accurate. (Except Steves last name) Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Hello,

My personal best is 10.65 @ 136 on stock pilots.

The day we made our drag racing video I ran a 10.80 at 135.79 mph.

We have made a few power enhancing mods since then and I'm thinking about running mod 2 at VOI with stock radials.

I have seen a Blue and White GTS in Texas run that 10.3@136mph on stock pilots on the car with a shot of gas. That was some unbelievable driving by one and I know that is the FASTEST time ever on stock tires. Good luck if Evan is going after that time.

The 10.3 and Tom's are the ones I know about.

Gerald,

I don't know about Roof, but I believe Scott P. ran 140 mph in his DLM level 3 on stock tires. I don't know what the e.t was but I don't recall 10's. Plenty of mph though.

How can you say it is the "fastest time ever"? I've seen a car go 10.5's on stock tires. It's not hard to believe there are others running a fair bit quicker than that. I've seen Jamie Furman run in the high 10's on P-Zeros.

How many of these times on "street tires" are on cheater slicks or drag radials? 10.3 is moving on stock pilots - but I dunno if I'd say it's the fastest ever with any conviction.

I plan on breaking into the 10's this weekend on pilots. I have the MPH just need to get my 60' time a bit better. My best 60 foot so far is 1.7 but I had a small mishap with the car and had to shut her down. So we shall see soon.

All the times I noted, including the 10.3, were accomplished on pilots. I'd argue that given the chance to compare the available max 315/35 BFG drag radial against the 335/35 Michelin Pilot on a well prepped drag strip with an experienced driver, the difference would be negligible. As for cheater slicks, if you're referring to a DOT approved drag slick (such as the ET streets), those are the ONLY 10.5W drag tire commonly available for the viper. M/T discontinued the 26x16x10.5 ET Drag (true slick) over a year ago because of small demand and the contradiction of a wrinkle-wall slick with a small sidewall. This means all 9 second passes in the last year or so have been made on "cheater slicks" because that is all all you can find. Scott

Scott,

I don't disagree, I am just saying that anyone who says "10.3 is the fastest that has ever been run on street tires" is an impossible statement to say with any conviction. A guy at my track runs low 10.2's (not ni a Viper) on pilot sports and he isn't a guy that posts on the boards. We assume that because a time is well known it is the fastest. I know a bunch of guys who race at my track who are never on the board. I've seen mid-10 second runs in Vipers on pilots. Who is to say none of those other guys have ever bested a 10.3?

Brunton, I know why Norm gives you so much trouble. DO you know of anyone that has gone faster on stock tires??? The answer must be NO!!!! Until you find someone or see it then I guess the one on 10.3 is the FASTEST on stock tires. DEAL WITH IT!!!!!!!!!

Not to be confused with a "filthy little gutter-bug" (can't recall the author).

You guys come up with the greatest material!

Alright guys I stand corrected and do apologize. The car I was speaking about did go 10.3 at Rivercity in Marion but on that same day it also went 10.21 @ 142 but with a red light at the tree and that was on stock street tires. The 60 foot was a 1.52 and this car had nothing done to the motor except it has long tube race headers and 3" exhaust with throttle bodies. It doesn't even have rocker arms. Yes, it did have a two stage NOS system on the car to pull that sort of mph...

Sorry for the confusion Brunton.....
