Is it worth it (sound wise) to change the stock exhaust on an '09 WITHOUT changing to hi-flo cats. I mean is there a decent amount of difference in the sound. With some GEN IV's throwing a CEL don't want to chance it. Although heard the corsa with roe cats from a fellow forum member and it sounded AWESOME!!
Don't really care about increase in HP, just want a louder more aggressive sounding exhaust.

Here is my experience. I changed to Corsa track for better sound and heat reduction. The sound at first was far better than stock and really like it. After a while and hearing other Vipers, I started to get bored of just the Corsa with Stock cats and contemplated my options. Some gut the cats are simply remove them but the ones I have heard were way too loud. Roe came out with the High Flow cats with the flex pipe which was exactly what I was looking for.

I finally decided to change to high flows and definitely gained a bit of power and much better sound. It is loud but anything more would be too much in my opinion. Great mod for some additional power, sound and heat reduction.

Wait were you talking about my car?

I believe i heard your car at Oakland's in the Hamptons during the club meet. Also heard it on a Gen IV but it throws an engine light on only some of the installs..don't understand why not on all the installs. Anyway I don't won't to drive around wiht an engine light so I am considering just the corsa alone...but prefer the sound with the roes!!

Good to hear you guys like the sound of the Corsa w/ Roe High-Flow cats, because I'm now waiting for the Roe cats to show up. Already have the Corsa sitting here.:2tu:

Hopefully with the Mopar PCM I won't be getting any CEL's either.

Was at Captree today and Richie (08 Snake Skin green convertible) was there. He has the high flow cats and it sounds great. I dont think he gets a check engine light either.

Sound is incredible. Low key when docile but awesome when opened up.

Yes I have Roe HF cats with stock mufflers. I don't get codes but I have the mopar PCM in also. I don't know what will happen with the stock computer, but I will find out when I get my car inspected next year.

Nader...09Venom was talking about my 08Coupe, I live not to far from him and offered a ride so he could get an idea of how they sound. I have the Roe's and the Corsa Track exhaust. Chuck did the install. I am one of the unfortunate lucky ones that get a CEL. It clears itself eventually but also eventually comes back. But the Viper runs great and there is no ill effects other than the annoying CEL light on the dash. Oh well, just gives me an excuse to get the Mopar engine controller. And as far as the sound is concerned, I think is perfect. I am actually surprised to read on this board that some think that the Roe's and Corsa is too loud.

YES its worth it. I did it on my 09. Its pretty cheap to install, sounds better and LOOKS a lot better with the polished tips compared to the dull looking oem tips. Corsa........

I also have Roe HF cats with stock mufflers and it never threw a code even with the stock PCM.
When using the Mopar PCM, the idle tone mellows a bit and the decel popping is gone.
