Excellent information. Thank you for your response :)
Btw, did you mean to say "No CEL if you go with cats"? I don't see how a header can keep from tripping a CEL with no cats.
I know M&M makes headers for the Gen IV, but I don't really know of anyone running them. They seem to be built just the same as the Bellangers in regards to materials, but they don't contain the "pickle" as I have read that the Bellangers do. One comparison said they would fall right in...
Was the throttle response and the lag associated with the stock PCM improved an appreciable amount? This would be the main reason why I would pursue this mod.
The Z went 11.60@125 with a best trap of 127mph. It would have done a lot better but on the run of my best 60'(1.90 on street tires) I missed damn second gear :(. Looking forward to seeing what the Viper will do.
Put the Viper on the dyno today. It is bone stock and it put down numbers that most others put down so that was good(dyno was a dynojet 248C SAE corrected). Blue is the Viper and the red is my old C6Z with nothing but a Halltech intake. Different days(separated by 2yrs actually), but at least...
Sounds good. Think you could get one of you just cruising on the highway in low gear so I could try to hear how bad the drone is? I will be taking trips in my viper and must have a setup that doesn't drone my head off on the highway.
It is paint. My thoughts were to get some blended touch up and build it up and buff back to flush? I am no body guy by any means, so those in the know, your comments are much appreciated.
I put war in parenthesis because for those that are new to the Viper game, this is how it appears through numerous posts both here and over on the Alley. I just used this thread to ask why there is such a dislike towards corvette as I think they are phenominal machines in their own right. Then...
I never said they were the same. I will say that Viper guys sure are more concerned about this "war" then vette guys. Why draw a line? We all own the last of a dying breed. Some people choose vette, others choose viper, and some choose both. Why waste your time criticizing?
The vette is a great car, same as the viper. Who the hell cares about attention? These cars are incredible performance machines and I would hope most own them for that reason.
I tried searching, but didn't come up with much. I have been trying to find any and all technical articles surrounding this generation of Viper and more specifically, the engine and it's ECM. Thus far, multiple google/VCA searches haven't really given me much to read about. Anyone have any...
I ran NT-05's on my Z06 and they were an excellent tire for the money. Excellent grip and wear characteristics, but the rears might look a little stretched since these tires only go up to 335 in width. Only downside is they obviously aren't that great in the rain, but you won't be out in the...
I have just confirmed that the car pictured above is indeed the car I am trying to purchase. Any additional info anyone might have would be awesome. I am told the car is completely stock and was never modified. I found a dyno video of it at DCperformance when it was brand new(no plates), but...
According to the gentleman selling the car, it was driven by his dad(whom is the owner of the car) who is 78yrs old. He was indeed in the novice group and supposedly had an instructor with him at all times. He made no mention of his dad's wife ever driving the car, unless he just neglected to...
Yea, the car is in California and I am in Georgia. I have about 45 pics of the car showing every detail and angle so I feel pretty comfortable with the purchase, I just suppose I am looking for a little reassurance. This will be my first Viper and I definitely want to put my best foot forward...
