Abandoned? Price = known = no more SRT posts?
Somone said there was a news blackout until some time in August, so with all the old issues being hashed to death and no new news there's not much to talk about yet. There should be new mag news soon enough though. Regards, 2Charmed- 2charmed

Comp Coupe Facia for the SRT?

97 GTS
Red, The stock wheels for a 96 or 97 should be Clear coated polished aluminum. Some were painted white or yellow (not many) From the factory the wheels have a slightly dull finish and will most likely have fine scratched in the clear coat - they came that way it seems? To make the Comp. Coupe faster on the track, wouldn't that indicate more ground effects ect. not less? I would think that may make the car look more aggressive not less? Brain damage from GTS Viper!
You can do the exhaust yourself too, I have done it twice on my vipers. The first time was on my 97 and I did it just using a floor jack and jack stands. Steve, Does that mean that the SRT-10 may need body adjustments to enhance performance also? I'm sure DC won't change anything on the SRT-10 now, but if the coupe needs changes due to performance issues than that may indicate the SRT-10 has some of the same issues? 2charmed- 2charmed

GTS/ACR/GTS
If the ACR is in good condition with no problems such as previous body damage or abuse ect. I would lean heavily twords the ACR. I love the Blue/White combo of the 97's and the older cars don't depreciate as fast as the newer ones, but the ACR is a rare car, limited production, good color combo...- 2charmed

Eric, It simply seems that the Wizard (who is a very reliable source) is pointing out the information is BS, he didn't say you made it up. Black exhaust shield - redux
I would like the black exhaust shield addressed further also. I like and agree with your suggestions all of which seem better than the black angular shield, I would rather clean the carbon off of the body panel and have the original SRT oval stainless or aluminum opening. M-5 over SRT-10 ?
Shey, I'm not putting down the M-5 at all, just not my cup of beer. I owned an M-3 which I liked a lot and ordered an 01 M-3 which I canceled once I saw one and I bought the Z06 instead. I just don't understand why people bag on the SRT-10 and then the some of the same people praise the M-5...- 2charmed

M-5 over SRT-10 ?
I'm confused, why some people complain about the "plain" or "understated" styling of the SRT-10 and then praise the M-5? I think the M-5 is a nice Sports Sedan with 400 hp, but compared to the SRT-10 Convertible 500/500/500 for around the same money -there is no comparison. I know the M-5...- 2charmed

Anyone here Know if the black exhaust shield is final??
I couldn't agree more, I saw that and thought they should have left the exhaust outlet the way it was. I liked the oval stainles or chrome outlet. The black square area now seems out of place? Regards, 2Charmed- 2charmed
