I got mine from Partsrack.com and it works great! I believe JonB has them for $54.00, and if you think about it, that's about half the price of a new battery.
I got a chance to drive an SRT-10 at an SRT Experience, and it is much better than my GTS. The brakes are phenominal, and it just felt like a better car to drive.
I beat 2 new ZO6 vettes and a FGT in my GTS at a recent auto-cross, and I'm sure I could have gone faster in a Gen III. These pansy...
A friend of mine has been away for about a month, and he left his Viper here for his wife to drive (she drives it all the time so it's no big deal). Well, she's just a tad bit pregnant, so she has a hard time getting in and out of the car because she looks like she's trying to smuggle a...
I have the Team Tech in mine and have them tucked under and behind the seat when not in use. Check the "Illustrated Upgrade" for the post by Henry and Janni Cone to see how to do the install.
I remember hearing that Team Tech will exchange them when you need a newer set. Does this sound right?
I was looking for a set of tires for VOI and I was thinking of the V700's as well. I called JonB and he recommended the V-710's, so I got them insted. I had them in a day or two, and I was very happy with the tire and the service I received.
The Pilot Sports are probably twice the price of the...
There's a remote display that attaches to the plug that goes into the cigarette lighter. It's basically the same as the face of the V-1 (but only more compact), so you still get all the information. You can also mount it where you want, and all you have to do it buy another phone cord the length...
Re: Cheap RT/10 for someone who doesn\'t mind...............
I really like those wheels on the RT/10, and the miles don't bother me. Vipers weren't made to spend their life in a climate controlled garage...they were made to be driven!
I got into 1:18 scale, and it was getting to where I had not more room. This little hobby gets expensive, and after a while it's hard to justify something that's just going to sit and collect dust. I have one of the 1:1 scale Vipers, and I'm content with just the one.
Mine's outside in the parking lot. It's fairly nice out today, and I usually drive it to work on Fridays anyway. My father lives in Arkansas and just got an SRT-10 Yellow Fever Ram. He said there's snow on the ground, so it's probably killing him not to be able to drive it.
Re: VOI9 Coupe vs. GTS-R
Many don't think the Gen III looks as good as a Gen II, so it doesn't matter what paint scheme you put on it. Put a Gen II body on a Gen III, and they wouldn't still be siting in a dealer showrooms with a $10K discount.
If the only cosmetic change on the new Viper is...
Tell the person you have a friend in Tampa that could come look at the car for you. If it's for real get an address and find a Viper owner there through the local club to go check it out. If it's bogus, you'll get some lame excuse. Whatever you do...DON'T SEND ANY MONEY UNTIL YOU KNOW IT'S FOR...
I had an issue with the power door lock module draining the battery. I was told the part was $100.00, but after it arrived they found out it was the wrong part and the correct part (after Viper tax, not including labor) was $308.00. I could drive the car to charge the battery, but by the next...
I wonder if the jacka$$ driving the SUV thought it was worth it just to keep you from moving over. It's sad that people will endanger others so their not 5 seconds late to where their going.
I feel your pain John. We have 80 plus Viper members in our region, and maybe 10 show up at the monthly meetings (and getting people to actually participate in an event is like pulling teeth). I've been to 4 car shows, and only once has there been another Viper there. I live for driving my...
