    Viper vs. Viper (jet)

Luke Air Force base, it's the weekend of the air show (24-25 March). We plan on being there Friday evening.

    Viper vs Viper

I'm pretty sure it's March 24-25. It's going to be the same weekend as the air show, so check the dates of that for more clarification. Perhaps check the schedule of the Thunderbirds too.

    Japan

Too good to tell a brother you got orders? I hope it's not before 29 Jan. because you have to re-enlist me! My Dad has a 50'x 100' shop back at Little Rock, and if things don't go well you always have a space to store it free of charge for as long as you need. If there's anything you need, or...

what are the most commonly broken parts on a viper?

Replaced the clutch slave at 23,500 miles. After thinking about it, I do sit at stop lights with the clutch pedal push in insted of putting it in neutral. I don't drive it REAL hard, but by no means baby it. It's a true testament to the quality of the people that built and designed the car. I...

    Jealous People

Birds are nothing but flying rats, and they go out of their way to poop on my car. It all starts when they see me with the bucket and sponge. One by one I see them flock together and start to circle over my car like a bunch of vultures, just waiting for me to finish. When I go inside, they dip...

    2008 Viper...Good News/Bad News

I'm a renaissance man myself, and prefer the "K-car" and "Pacer/Gremlin" era. :nana: It is indeed a great time to have a modern day American muscle car; 26mpg, 500hp and fantastic body lines. :usa:

Does everyone know the sheeting trick????

Everyone knows the mirrors fold out away from the car to drain the water, right? Also, make sure the holes at the base where the mirror bolts to the doors drain as well. Mine were full of all sorts of gobble-dee-goop and held water. Spray WD-40 on a rag and wipe down the inside rear fender well...

    2008 Viper...Good News/Bad News

It totally agree! I don't care how much faster other cars might be, they just don't look as good.

D-Day is approaching.... What will happen to the Viper?

I can save you all a bunch of time: The magazines will bash it because it's not wussified with a bunch of nanny controls like the vet. They will whine like a little girl with a skinned knee about the heat, and probably complain about the seats. We'll hear more crap about it letting go at the...

Sold the c6z, kept the Viper!

Who really cares? I've never wanted a new vet, and I sure don't want a used one. The value of a car 4 years from now is purely speculation, so please change the subject. ...sold the c6z and kept the Viper.

What do you do when u lose your DAD before Christmas

I lost my Grandmother this January a week before my birthday, and my Grandfather passed a week later on my birthday. I still hurt, and think of them every day. I pretty much followed in my Grandfather's footsteps by joining the military and becoming a carpenter. He fought in the Phillipines...

    Gas Mileage

3.07 gears at 1,500rpm in 6th gear is 75mph. 2,000rpm is 100mph. I got 27mpg on the way back from Atlanta. My father was following me in his minivan, and I got better milage. If you try to clip your toe nails on the radiator fan you'll get bad milage; it's all relative to how you drive.

The Greatest Gen II Products never built...

I have Random Tech High Flow Cats and 3 inch Borla mufflers. I've never had a problem with side sill heat, and I live in Nevada. I've tracked it a few times, and the sills have never been too hot to touch. Get rid of the crappy stock exhaust and get something that flows and doesn't cook you.

checked everywhere, can't find door panel

Re: checked everywhere, can\'t find door panel I got a set for my 96 GTS from Ron at R&J Dist. that, acording to him, were "Off an '01 with 3,400 miles and in excellent condition." What I received was a set that was warped, very scratched, had wear marks from a sagging door and had serious...

    Age categories for owners

I'm 36, and I do feel like a young pup at the monthly meetings. If I hadn't been in the right place at the right time I wouldn't have a Viper.

One of the better SRT-Coupe reviews I've seen

Any Ideas...The Dealership totalled My SRT10 Today

Luckily the Viper tech I go to is also a Viper owner, and a member of the local Viper club. I trust him more than anyone else, and if I have a big problem with the car I only take it to him (and drive past 2 other dealerships to do it). If I have a question about small stuff, I know I can call...

    Newb: What is a VOI?

This was only half the cars that were at the VOI in Vegas. There is no way to prepare for seeing 700 Vipers in one place, and it is something I'll never forget.
