    Rear sway bar end links

At MoparOnlineParts they are $120.75 each. VPA has 'em at $129. List is $175 each, so not that cheap IMO.

250 miles in on my Viper - a few things I don't like...

Back toward the original topic-- re: the dead pedal, it is curved but then so are the other pedals. I personally feel that with a thin-soled shoe the curved pedals feel better and let you know where you are on the pedal. Yeah, for freeways a big, flat dead pedal might make more sense, but then...

    Mamba-Gone-CONCAVE

An avant garde look for sure... the centers appear to be suspended in space when back lit, like they might come flying outa there and wreak havoc upon the neighborhood. I give you a +1 for originality, even though every forum I've been on (including motorcycles) seems to be bent on blacking...

Replacement corner window gasket for 2004

BTW, purchased as new the flags are ungodly expensive (try $536 left side, $589 right side). So getting them from a dismantler or carving your own from a gold ingot is generally cheaper...

Has anyone run a cable from the back of the Radio into the Trunk on a SRT 10?

Does the 12V power come thru that connector cable? There's not a 12 volt/key-switched line in the trunk, either, it's all lights and turn signals (unless you count the electric fuel pump, but I wouldn't tap into that). Green viper- heh, CDs are fading fast, but I do like the newer radio head...

The smell sensor in my nose tripped a CEL in my brain: "Potential '05 srt issues"

Re: The smell sensor in my nose tripped a CEL in my brain. ECU begs to differ... "Laid heavily into the throttle on the highway"... is the clutch slipping? This would cause a sickly burning smell (similar to cooking brakes) if the clutch is slipping in higher gears under heavy load.

    MCS Settings

On my '05, the stock ride height at centerline of the fenders was 27.1" on the fronts and 29.35" at the rear. I'm running lowered at 26.3"/front and 28.2"/rear with stock wheels and stock sized PS2 tires. Ride quality degrades as you lower the ride height, IMO, so I'm not willing to slam the...

Crazy popping or back firing from the exhaust

You guys are all pleasantly insane. :omg: The sound of these cars (with some exhaust mods) definitely backs people off (poor bloke was just trying to read my personalized plate).

    Gen 3 borla value/interested buyers?

Dynamat Extreme under the carpeting helped mine a lot. Also used some exterior type aluminized self-adhesive thermal material (search Amazon) under the car in the tranny tunnel. You'll notice a little of this material OEM from the factory above the primary cats. There are also several...

I'm torn about possibly selling my car

If you're the type that enjoys a unique, customized vehicle (your current Viper), I don't think you'll get quite the same satisfaction from a new car that anyone can go out and buy if they have the funds. It's not just about HP-- it's about doing the car hobby a little bit differently than...

adjusting/ settings for acr kw shocks

Keep in mind the OEM rear springs on the ACR shocks are designed for the downforce of the rear wing; for a standard car you will want lower spring rates in the rear. I would just spin the adjustment collar until it starts compressing the spring, then gently lower the car down (quick mount the...

    knocking sound

I have the bolts and they are quality pieces, but that knock you describe does not sound like it's the bolts to me. With the (slightly undersize) stock bolts you can get a click now and then when they shift a few thousandths from one position to another inside the mounting holes (this is with...

05 and 06 possible recall coming

Gonna need a good inspection-- so many things can knock in the suspension. I had a knock from a bad shock-- and it wasn't even a leaker! You will have to pull the rear wheels and check everything out for loose hardware as a start. Some parts such as ball joints and shocks may not have any...

    Frame rails

I would not jack the car between the two jack points as it is all belly/floor pan in that area. Plenty of access to frame rails from the rear tire back. I usually jack by the designated triangular points and then set jack stands under the rear frame rails (lower car onto the stands). You...

    Considering 03-05 SRT10

That mileage study by Chrysler Engineering in the Jan/Feb 2013 issue of Viper VCA magazine is pretty revealing-- that is, revealing how most owners (by far) do not use their Viper as a DD. Median usage PER YEAR: Gen 1: 1,222 miles Gen 2: 1,536 miles Gen 3: 1,897 miles...

    '04 SRT-10 Power Steering Leak

Most likely there is only one point of leakage. If you clean everything up and start the car, use a bright light and you should be able to see it. Possibly have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth while it sits there running. I personally would not change all the P/S hoses on an...

    Considering 03-05 SRT10

A Viper is not really a good daily driver, IMO. I used a Porsche 911 as a daily for 7 years and I would recommend that. To me, a Viper is just too radical for daily use, and it's really not in its element just puttering around in traffic, getting groceries, sitting in parking lots, etc. In...

    couple comments

The upper ball joint zerk fittings point straight up, so I've only done them with the wheel removed, but if you have a grease gun with a right angle end it could be done (maybe). As wide as the wheels are, I wouldn't bother with trying to do it. But then, once you've done ride height...

    ACR Stoptech Rotor Hat Maintenance

The "splash marks" are typically from pets, if you get my drift. A lot of people use Comet cleanser on their (hard) anodized pans-- might work on anodized hats as well (but be careful). Unfortunately, the surface of regular anodized parts tends to micro-crack when it gets very hot-- for...

    '04 SRT-10 Power Steering Leak

See if you can identify the source of the leak and post back on here. I've changed the PS lines and while not difficult, the fittings are a bit tricky and expensive. Never removed either radiator hose for this. You might consider picking up a service manual for the car... sometimes used ones...

Gen 4 K&N Twin Intake Vs. Stock Air Box

Agreed. 'No go' on a newer Viper traditionally means the cats are clogging as a first guess, certainly wouldn't blame the K&N setup...

    Updated interior (almost finished)

Looks good! I'm having the center console lid done in black leather to match the seats since I hate the feel of the vinyl. You guys are wizards with that wrap stuff... I have no clue how to do that!

Road noise - what is normal?

Most high performance "summer" tires (and tires in general) get noisier as they wear, and harsher in ride as well. Big, blocky, UHP tread is a lot noisier than the old squiggly line, small-siped passenger car designs. That said, a lot of guys that are concerned with noise add a layer of...

high flow cats on a gen 4.

That's normal for an O2 sensor CEL-- some of the OBD tests only run at a steady-state cruise at highway speeds. When I've had O2 sensors go bad on other cars, they've always thrown a CEL when just settling in to a cruise on the freeway (I.E. about one minute into the highway drive).
