I am completely clean on the chrome side, so I pulled all 4 wheels and cleaned the backside. What a mess. Most of backside is un polished anyway. Anybody cleaned the back side or am I the only knuckle head. Any tips.
So is the small compressor and FAF factory parts? If so where does it get stored and secured on the vehicle.
Thanks kcobean, you been very helpful!
Maybe this subject has been addressed on the forums for the 2003 model and I should go searching?
:headbang: Thanks for being polite to someone who is ignorant. I am an old dog still learning. But if you would like for me quote every engine available in the 70 Challenger, I am your man. ;)
Thanks for the tip. I have read many posts talking about going to the PS2's. I also read they are not run flats asked what you do if you do have a flat. The answer was use 'Fix a Flat'. That didn't sound too cool to me since FAF pours some sort of goo all over the inside of the wheel as well...
You know at my age all the years run together. Maybe it was 2001 but that seems a bit early for Chrysler to intro the 2003 model but maybe not. I do know it was a Gen II, because the big steam was around 500HP and 500 ft-lbs of torque min.
A posting like this would likely get jeers on Viper Alley and I hope not here. And why is it so wrong to express the euphoric feeling of a dream come true with a group focused on one really sweet vehicle.
You have to first understand that my passion for cars starts way back in 1970 (yep I...
My primary email address is with hotmail but on this forum that is not a permissable host address. So I used a email host for my website that I cannot check easily.
I am thinking about opening a gmail account is that okay?
I am not knowledgeable about PS2 but I assume they are not run flats. If not then I assume you just "chance it" if you get a flat. Or is there a back up plan?
Very very nice 00 Viper. As a new owner of 2 weeks ago, I identify with your excitement. Is that your garage? Very nice if it is.
And I like the SVT banner. I have had some SVT vehicles that I have much enjoyed.
I often hear the cost of $3000 thrown around to replace a set of tires. However when I look at the TireRack, the cost of the tires alone are about $1700 with shipping and taxes.
Is the install costs really really expensive?
Thanks everyone. Before I asked the question, I searched the forums first. I did not want to be redundantly asking a question that had already been answered. I had no success.
Well I googled it just a few minutes ago and the first hit was on this forum. Here is the link...
I also inquired about this vehicle. Nice guy. He said he had it checked at a Frame shop and was okay. Ask him for that report then call that shop. For things other than structural damage, like mechanicals or the body, I would take to dealer close by.
I just purchased a 2003 SRT10 last night with 4300 miles. It is in like new condition. One thing I did notice is a bit of a baked on brake dust on something primarily on the back wheels.
I have searched the threads to see how to clean off. I needs something stronger than soap and water but...
8 years ago (imagine that) I joined this forum to start my pursuit to purchase a Viper. Unfortunately, kids college got in the way. Well that is behind me and am seriously looking to buy a 2001/2002 Viper.
Back then there was thread (maybe a sticky) that had "Tips on Buying a Viper" by Jay...
