Any other pushrod engines use variable valve timing right now? I'm calling BS. I think maybe one GM v6 has VVT on a pushrod engine. I seriously, seriously, doubt it will be on the viper. That is a bet I would be willing to take.
And in every one of the sports cars, and in every BMW, and...
Re: Viper moving
Hey, more vehicles sharing the viper platform can only mean good things for the viper. The viper will have other car sales to subsidize its development costs. The Z06 comes to mind....
stop using that cheap 5hit!!

Re: 2006 Coupe Viper Slate Crystal Perl w/ Silver stripes +H wheels + Sirus
So I'm confused. When I go to Dodge.com and look at the viper I don't see this color offered at all. What am I missing? (And don't say a brain! :) )
OK, but just because it drives better then the Gen 2 still doesn't make it a good design. It sounds like the Quaife improves on the design. By the way the reviewer drove the vette with all electronic nannies off. He did that on purpose to see how the car handled sans any electronic aide...
I respect your opinion, but I still feel like it's a poor design. I will admit I have only driven a Gen 2 a few times and not that hard. The problem is I won't be able to drive the Z06 and Viper coupe back-to-back hard on a track so I have to find info somewhere. The guy writing the article...
Every diff manages torque. It sounds like this one manages it shitty. The behavior is not what is expected or what one would want. I understand what a differential does. My point is with a different diff you wouldn't have this interesting trait at all. Hence the suggestions for the quaife.
He wasn't claiming anything to do with torque of the engine. I mean an S2000 has very little torque and will swap ends like Elton John. He was claiming what the first few posters were talking about. OK, I think I have my answer thanks guys. What is the price of a Quaife? And which model do...
I read a comparison of the Viper coupe and the new Z06 from a very good driver who complained about the differential of the new viper. He said the car was fine at 9/10, but it tended to understeer when pushed harder, but then would snap oversteer as he pushed it to 10/10's. IT seems the diff...
Hoosiers are cool, but at least at tire rack, they don't have hoosiers in stock Coupe wheel sizes. I was hoping to find out what size wheels (maybe actual models) and tires people are running on their SRT-10's. Thanks guys, gives me some things to think about.
I'm thinking about track wheel/tire options for the viper coupe. I couldn't find anything in a 19, but even in 18's it doesnt look like RA-1's will work, for example. Anyone running a coupe or SRT-10 on the track with R compounds? What wheel sizes/tire sizes are you using?
Thanks.
Re: VIPER VS PORSCHE GT3....BEST VIDEO I\'VE EVER SEEN
You realize people have died filming the other ones? Yeah, this is really cool if you are a moron. Take it to the track.
The car would serve as my track and daily driver. I don't drive that much per day, but I would like it to be useable on the street. I just wanted to get an idea of how a viper would fit that bill. It seems to meet it would fit pretty well. I have driven one viper and found it very easy and...
Thanks for all the info. Now I just have the find the right viper for me. I wish I would have bought the one I looked at a 1 1/2 years ago, but I didn't...that's the way it goes. It sounds like at my driving skill level, some good fluid, pads and brake ducting will keep me entertained for a...
