The inside of my garage is forecast to be a high of 70 degrees and a low of 65 degrees for the foreseeable future. On Saturday there is a 100% chance of beer drinking...
I have a cordless variable speed electric impact driver that I use for the lug nuts at the track. I bought a set of 1/2 inch drive torx bits and use the impact driver to remove/install the PITA screws. Very fast.
A few years ago I rented a 911 from Avis in Stuttgart. I took it out on the Autobahn and hit 170 mph - top speed for that particular car. I can't imagine being in a Viper. You guys have something special over there!
The cups are OK on the strip but they are not as good as drag radials! Certainly better than the run flats though. I dropped the pressure to 22 psi and the tires were cold for the runs. I drove around the water and just did a quick pathetic little burn out to clean them off. :crazy2:
On the...
UPDATE:
I started logging certain engine parameters including RPM with the Inovate DL32. I noticed that the RPM was not a smooth curve as I expected but looked like it had noise on the signal. I started doing a little digging and found out that the Autometer shift light and the datalogger...
I finally made it to the strip for only the second time this year. The plan was to make some runs and log air/fuel ratios after loading my new tune.
My wife wanted to ride with me so I made a pass and ran an 11.57 at 122.57 mph. Way faster than I have run in the past. On the next run I...
I refinished one of my wheels last winter. First I stripped off all the old clear coat using aircraft stripper found at Autozone. You have to remove all of the old powder coat as the new powder coat will not go on over the old. Then I sanded the curbed area only - finishing with 2000 grit...
I only went to the strip once this summer for the Mopar Nats in Columbus (been running HPDE's instead). I just couldn't get the car to hook and spun the tires on every launch. DragonRider was there also and he won low ET for the V10 nats. I made it to the final round but got schooled at the...
Given that it is 3:30 am and I am still wide awake, I doubt that I will drive anything. I'll let Karen do the driving this time. But Karen will tow the Viper to Columbus just like last year. Mid-Ohio is next weekend and remember, I have to save the miles for the track. LOL :drive:
I live about 30 miles from Willard. I'll be happy to take a look. Send me a PM with the details.

Edit: Randalls post must have came while I was typing.
I just use a microfiber cloth and quick detailer to remove the rubber marks. They are actually easier to remove than the bugs.
Did anyone else have a problem with all of the rocks on the track? "Someones" 2009 yellow ACR with sticky tires sent a rock straight into the windshield in front of...
