OH MY GOSH I must tell you all thank you from the bottom of my heart. The Viper Nation has been so concerned about the welfare of me and the McCanns after the pounding we all took on the next to last lap of the Speed WC-GT race at Road America. Calls have been coming in all day today. I love...
Chuch Tator of Tator Dodge has been on the Viper Nation conscience since the beginning but having Bill spell this guy out for us..........now I get it. Takes all kinds and Chuck, you have no shortage of character, at least according to Pemberton. I hope he doesn't turn and analyze any of the...
"So Howdjyalikeit?" That was the most common way people introduced themselves to the Comp Coupe owners over the week-end at Thunderhill last Saturday and Sunday.
First I must tell you how fortunate I feel for being the owner of one of these beasts. Eric Petersen, Tommy Archer, John...
OK Gentlemen, you can find some good photos of my comp coupe and several others by going to two places:
Find the thread in the General Discussion on SRT VGX section. Title is: "I think you'll like this! Custom paint schemes! LIVE!" Joseph Houss last posted to on 3/25/03 Tony E took...
The design came from the twisted mind of Brad Jensen, our young website photo person with a little help from muaa as I have been on parole now and thinking out of the box more. Auto Trim design of Omaha did the execution. Brad has some "out there" left if you need him Jerry.
Fred and all, looking forward to seeing you at Thunderhill. We got 2 hours of lapping in Friday here at the local track to give the engine some run in at modest loads and rpms. Ooooh my am I excited, this thing feels goood. I hope you get to see this paint job, I call it the blizzard, cause...
Fellow Viper Comp Coupe Followers: In the tradition of Frank Parise, I shall share some beginning experiences with you about our beloved new cars. The company direction this car represents is consequential and I expect that soon it should come into the spotlight. Once the media get an idea...
Jason, Re your springs: It sounds like you are staying with stock shocks, if that is the case, cut coils are simply bad business and you need to lower the car using the upper spring perches from Collectors Choice or adjustable perch from Northwind engrg. I would choose early ACR springs, say...
Thanks again Tom. I am late seeing your post. I can add a couple of alternatives as well.
The rear brake caliper is 36MM on cars up to 99. No need to do the machine shop thing if you want to bolt on some 2000 to 2002 rear calipers. They are 38MM. Yeah I know, sounds easy, it just...

Re: SRT steering behavior. \"taming the two-headed beast\"
I was waiting to see if anyone else noticed this. Here is a possible reason this phenomenon of hunting on troughed out pavement has worsened. Of course we all know about wide tires and their issues. If you compared the Gen II 2002...
Jerry RE your concern. I agree there is a need to dress this area. The approach I would suggest is to leave that hole alone and put a visual blocker just behind the battery and full across. This would be in the form of black sheet plastic. If a vendor doesn't grab onto this maybe I can get...
Have you ever caught yourself resisting change? What I have read on this board about the new SRT-10 tells me that many of us have. I catch myself all the time. Which is what urged me to write this note to you all.
I had some private moments in our dealership Viper Pit yesterday with...
Hello "2C" I'm not sure why you asked the question, but to help: A vehicle always has a "vin" vehicle identification number or serial number before an invoice is printed.
Dealers get invoiced a couple of days ahead of the vehicle coming off-line usually.
Vipers are inconsistent in...
Re: Eliminating noises we don\'t want... a tech question for you.
Your question, does undercoating make sense for sound reduction. The answer in my experience is yes. We have been spraying sound shield and other undercoating chemicals for 27 years in our dealerships. I find strong opinions...
I can't believe I am using time to respond to an intellectual giant, so Hmm, that should speak for itself.
To get the facts straight Mr. EXEC; D/C has already delivered what you asked for: Starting at 400 hp and going to 500 hp, my math shows that to be 100 hp. That is also 20%...

Adjusting the stopper should take about 30 seconds. 3 months to tweak and fine tune. I think the Mercedes guys must have flown home. The hood on my 99 RT-10 fit perfect. Why couldn't they get it...
The headers will be a little bit of a wait still. As you may be aware the cylinder head exhaust flange has a different bolt pattern requiring a new header design. Many suppliers have not had the chance to get their hands on a car yet.
Maybe my age is showing, I have been very attached to the looks of the Gen I and II Vipers, now after being able to study the 2003 in the flesh, wow, this is as dramatic and stimulating as the first time I saw the GTS. Pictures won't do this for you. It is time to be alone with a real one...
Scuse the lack of info, to answer the two questions above. This bar fits Gen II or 1996 thru 2002. It may be adaptable to the Gen I without a problem, but I have not done any testing. That is step two about March of this year. This bar will fit and make an ACR respond to adjustments the same...
I feel bad for you, but the experience relates to hydroplaning. It snuck up on you. Don't beat yourself up over this. Years back I went through a similar mental process with one of my cars. The car, as we all know carries huge contact patches and as the water on the road increased, may have...
