Paxton seems to be the most consistent in terms of performance, and they are still made so there's more support for them at the moment. Roe's can work great, many people are very happy with them, but there are also a few who've had the S/C rebuilt numerous times and aren't so happy with it. I...
I have no cats, resonators or mufflers and its annoyingly loud. I like it that way, but I don't drive it every day. If it was a DD, I'd put the mufflers back on.
If you've just greased the ball joints or if a lump of excess was hanging off ready to drop, it could have done so in the hotter weather. Check the grease boots on the front suspension - that's where the really think, viscous greasy stuff hangs out.
Dang, I get snagged by that all the time.....I read the last few posts and don't realize its a resurrected thread. In the inimitable words of Emily Litella, "never mind"....:)
Not to be ignorant (but I am...never had a TT set up put on a Viper) but assuming a good TT set up costs less than $40,000 to accomplish, wouldn't it be better to buy a clean GTS in the 30's and have it TT'd? Maybe it does cost $40K to properly TT a car, in which case "70's" is a fair price.....
Thanks for the info. The C5 guys change 'em every day....but they used to win between 2 and 4 tires per weekend with the now defunct Hoosier contingency. Running against Billy Gropp, and Larry Carter as well as a host of evil-juiced GTRs, I wasn't a threat for tires in TTU! I see a set...
Re: I feel the rear of the car squat and lift when shifting during accelleration/ IRS
I don't think there's an inherent jump-to-the-left (or right) effect of IRS; though someone more knowledgable can chime in. However, everything from tire pressure to alignment to condition of shocks can...
Re: I feel the rear of the car squat and lift when shifting during accelleration/ IRS
Some is normal, it can also be made worse by uneven rear tire air pressures.
Ouch. Sorry that happened. How'd you get to the inside of T5? Typically folks either go off and cross the road and hit the outside or spin and land on the grass on the inside.
1:37 is awesome! Congrats on that indeed!
For most tracks you need SA2005 and forward. The SA (special applications) is important and distinguishes them from motorcycle helmets. The SA's are generally accepted as safe for 10 years.....I think it'd be hard to find a new SA2000 these days, so buying a 2010 would mean you're good until 2020.
