    SRT 10 lowering

    Am looking at a Viper built by RSI. They told me that they lowered the car an inch by cutting the springs and that they do it all of the time. Has anyone heard of this? I have seen elsewhere that you will blow out the shocks doing something like this. Also wonder about the ride. Herc :usa:

    GT, the only Porsche that does it for me is a Turbo. But I now own an SRT 10 and haven't looked back to the 10 or so Porsches I had. Something about big loud A-[******]-merican engines. JMO. :D Herc :usa:

    Yes, and it took them a week to tweak the suspension and tires. Also looked a little low and I wonder if that splitter is OEM. Nice job though, but I bet that if you took an SRT 10 with enough back up and a week on the ring to do the same tweaking with a pro driver you would have the same or...

    Adjustable Exhaust Sound? Anyone tried?

    I went with the CCI 3 disk insert in my Corsa Track, cuts the sound so that I don't need ear plugs but still loud. Got them from Summit Racing, guy said at the most 5hp at max rpm, it is what they use at the strip to keep within the noise levels. Herc

    Corsa Track, RT cats and CCI inserts. I have this setup and it does do the V-Twin pop pop pop when you let your foot off. Does not have the 60's muscle car sound though, I think it has to do with the firing order of the V-10. A bit higher pitch than a V-8. Herc :usa:

    stock ride hieght for the SRT10?

    Just measured mine, stock 05. Front of front fender, 5". Aft of front fender, 6ish. Rear of rear fender, about 7 3/4". Top outside edge of front tire to fender well, 2.5 in, rear 3.5 in. The Motons are height adjustable +/- 2", maybe they did not set it correctly. Hope this helps. Herc :usa...

    New mods installed....

    Was told that the computer does not add any hp, just adjusts timing and fuel, and raises the rev limit by about 250 rpm. Was thinking of putting it on my 05 with RT cats and Corsa Track, not sure if it is compatable or not. It is a full up swap out though, not a "piggy back". Herc :usa:
