Newt,
I did the same thing (bending the bracket) before I called them. Did my install in January, not quite sure why they haven't updated the instructions yet. :(
JD,
I think your situation is the same as mine. The old instructions show a bracket with a 45deg bend that is designed to install in the lower bolts. The new bracket is bent at 90 deg and installs in the upper bolts. The most important thing is that the brake lines do not rub on the suspension...
Be sure you have the proper instructions for the front brake line supports (RevC1). They included an older version with mine and it made things pretty confusing at first as the new bracket is designed to mount on the top two spindle bolts and the instructions showed it mounting on the bottom...
Vic is right. I spent a lot of time on the Porsche site when my friend had a 911 and 99% of the 911TT guys were afraid to do a high rpm launch as they were afraid they would break something. Having drvien my friends Porsche a few times (and the S2000 he sold the Porsche to get) I can tell you...
Re: When was the first time you found out it wasn\'t a Viper,........
At least with a Dodge you don't have to take it to the shop as much as a Mercedes. :) Dodge and Chrysler's (and every American car company's) dependabiltiy is better than Mercedes', at least according to JD Powers
Kenny,
I dynoed at 422 before the VEC one and Corsa/R/T's, just wondering if I have lost some HP since then. I will try to play with the VEC a bit. I have not really spent the time to tune it as much as I should.
Tooofst,
I have been thinking long and hard about NOS or a supercharger but as Sac...
"Looks like you won by 1.191..! If the race ended up 12.223 to 13.414"
Unfortunately it's the one who crosses the line first who wins. I definately had a much better ET but he got a .6 head start due to the dial in difference and .573 better reation time. This means he left the line 1.173...
I didn't need to say anything. His friend asked me what a car like mine costs (97 GTS) and I said you could probably pick one up for 45k$. He turned to the owner and said "you paid more than that for your car!"
Spent last night at Sacramento Raceway for the monday night drags (bracket racing). I was happy with my consistant times but not my MPH. Last time I ran (2 years ago) my MPH varied between 117 to low 118's. This time, after Corsa and R/T cats I was running 116.4 to 117.1. My GTECH was giving me...
The only thing I have noticed with my Corsa's that I don't like is the loud clicking sound I get as the exhaust is cooling after a drive. Otherwise the sound is great!
I got the NorCal VOI floor mats and they look amazing in the B/W GTS's as the blue background highlights the car's color. No problems with them bunching but have only used them for 3y/13000 miles.
I saw and heard one at the Concorso Italiano in Monterey. Beautiful car and sounded great. I read an article in Autoweek that lamented Ford remaking a classic sports car rather than designing a new one and going racing with it. It is nice to see Ford with a exotic sports car. Hopefully Chevy...
From what Sean said in previous posts, the gauge should read 5 psi at all rpms. He didn't seem to see the point in it with his style of blower if I recall.
There was a previous thread on this. They must have used the same Toyota Corolla designer as the SRT but told him to rice it up. The front is just plain ugly.
Let me try to piece this together here. Someone took a Gen III motor, converted it to 4 cams but decided to use the Gen I twin throttle bodies with twin cables and Gen I alternator and intake. That must have cost some serious money. ;)
It would be the ultimate stealth motor!
