How much vandalism can be expected?

Thanks Jim, As I read this thread I was starting to think I was the only one. It is just a car, and a Dodge at that. I drive mine every day except during the winter. Sure there are places I would never take it. And I am very careful about where I park it. But I just can't leave it at home and...

    Viper Demise by the Diamler?

Alan, You ever try to buy a Harley? Except for a few dealers who mark them up like crazy, you basically have to own one to buy one. I had several dealers suggest that I buy a used one (they cost more than new ones) and then they would talk to me about ordering one next year. They do this to...

    For NON Dodge?Chrysler Warranty Owners

PS Except for JonB, who was aparently born with more Viper knowledge than most of us will ever have, the learning process generally starts after you buy one. Good luck!

    For NON Dodge?Chrysler Warranty Owners

Lauri, I bought a '96 GTS this last summer with 15,000 miles on it. Several days after buying the car I bought a Chrysler Warranty from another dealer (for half the price that the dealer who sold me the car wanted). From the paperwork I read it appears that the dealer bent the rules just a bit...

Fed regulated speed for 2001 models?

Even if our frequently misguided government did try to implement such a thing, I can assure you it would not take long for aftermarket solutions to appear. No worries mate.

    Aftermarket exhaust recommendations?

I gotta mention the 3" Borla cat back system that I have. It is a great start to a better sounding car. And it is the one DC sells (ie you can get it with a Mopar part number). I bought mine used and got a great deal (thanks luc!). Last time I looked there was one in the classifieds for $500...

How can I get 600 rwhp from a Viper???

$32,500 = 670 HP, 670 ft/lb http://www.lingenfelter.com/packages/viper510ci.htm Speed is just a question of money. How fast to you want to go?

Brandon, She quite wisely considers it out of her league. Actually she lusts after my winter beater ('92 Eagle Talon TSi AWD) instead.

High Flow Catalytic Converter Test Results

Sean, Can you post the graph for your high flow cats vs the stock ones? No cats is just not an option for me. Also I am curious how much the 23 degree cooler air affected the results.

    "Keep-the-car-alive" Requirements

Re: \"Keep-the-car-alive\" Requirements Well Chuck, your '97 sure looks better than my '96. But I got a whole box of Zanio stuff sitting in my garage. When the weather breaks I'll at least try to get the same league as you. I'm planning on going up to Viper Days when they go to Road America...

    1997 Viper Deluxe Catalog?

Hey Bob, Please don't post the same message in two places. Anyone willing to help answer your question probably reads all the new messages. So yours will not get missed even if it is only in one place. I posted info on where you can get this in the other thread...

    Need 2000 Viper Brochure

Hey Bob, I have a '96 "Deluxe Viper Catalog" coming from these guys. PJ's Auto Literature PO BOX 233 Reinbeck, IA 50669 PH: 319-345-6760 FAX: 319-345-2181 Email: [email protected] www.pjsautolit.com I found them on ebay. They don't have much on their web...

    Viper Games

Phreak, There is a Viper pinball game in my favorite local bar. This is a dumpy hole-in-the-wall that can't hold more than about 50-60 people. But they have the game. The really spooky part is that they installed it the day I test drove my snake. I was so excited about it after the test drive...

    "Keep-the-car-alive" Requirements

Re: \"Keep-the-car-alive\" Requirements Chuck, Stainless steel brake lines on your GTS??? Are you really thinking about putting your baby on the track??? Or did you just want her to look good in that cocoon you have her in?

    Viper daily drivers

Brandon, As the parent of a sixteen year old I am pretty happy to hear your current tag line: <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR> I'm 16, I have paid for both of my cars as well as everything and anything to do with them... <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Music to my ears...

    Expensive or Cheaper

I have not seen the logo ones in person so I can not compare the two. But I can say that the "viper" ones are very thick. They make the stock ones feel like paper towels. They were significantly cheaper, but I can't remember the exact amounts. Don't worry your catalog should arrive pretty...

    Expensive or Cheaper

Laurie, I just got my Snake-Oyl floor mats and I couldn't be happier. I also thought that the tapestry ones were a bit pricey, so I went with the ones that just said "Viper". They are also a bit more understated which I liked. I would definitely give them a call a get a catalog before you...

    Viper daily drivers

I use my '96 GTS as my daily driver except in the Winter (we are having a real one here is Chicago this year). While I've only owned mine for about 6 months now I've had no problems taking the Viper out every day, rain or shine! I bought it to drive it!

    weight reduction

I still remember Bob Lutz swearing that the '92 Viper would be "under 3000 pounds even if we have to drop the hood lift springs". Now they are still trying to get under 3200 over ten years later... Sigh... Good thing we got all that torque...

    Shifters

I would recomend changing the knob first. I planned to swap out the shifter, but I got enough improvment from just changing the knob. I used MGW's Gripper shifter and my shifts are MUCH quicker now. If you decide it is not enough you can always get the shifter then. You'll still want the new...

    Resale on New Viper?

I'm pretty sure all Vipers are CA legal... If you are trying to resist buying a Viper you came to the wrong place. You won't get much support for that here!
