Be prepared to move/tilt the motor. I've Installed 3 headers on 3 different vipers (Gen1/2) and 2 of the 3 I had to move the motor (level) for clearance (even amount) other than that they're not that bad.
I would recommend Flowmaster's Hushpower Pro Series Muffler. It's a deeper tone and the inner cone baffle design is much different than the conventional glasspack (perforated) type. It also runs cooler (Side sills seem cooler). I've had magnaflow, randomtech and the last set I took off was...
Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! then a detailed description is best. In my experience of selling and buying on Ebay Photos say everything about your auction and you as a seller. I know that sounds too easy but since your potential buyer can't see the car in person you need to be able to make them...
I had Borla's and went to Edelbrock's. IMO the Edelbrock's are a better header but maybe that's because I'm not a fan of stainless headers. Having a V10 the sound is already something one has to get used to. Add stainless headers and they seem to add a higher pitch to the sound. Where I live we...
Look at your ECM (Passenger side) he typically stickered it like this
My car is not a Hennessey but at the time (1998) he was the only tuner I could find that could flash a JTEC
PM me a price ? Would you also consider these in on trade ? A local owner had these for drag racing and only used them a few times. They have no curb (lip) damage at all and the paint is brilliant - currently have BF Drag radials on them but I would consider them old and useless
Looking for a set of Forgelines so I can complete a set for my car. These are the rears so I need the fronts (18x10)
If you have a set that need refurbed that's ok too. I'm powder coating the centers anyway so anyone ?
Thanks
Yes I know there's the "Official Exhaust Clip" thread but after looking at 12 pages I'm no further along in my decision making than before

Here's what I have

Looking for a diff that already has a set of gears (prefer 3.33)
I want to swap to a set of gears but keep my diff in case i don't like it
I only need the diff but would take a whole rear end if that's what it takes to buy it
Thanks
Spicer is Dana and Vipers have Dana 44 IRS's so spicers are what you need and if I remember that's what came with the Unitrax half shafts too so........
Always buy new straps and bolts
Buy the Unitrax just for the fact that they are tough
I know I broke their best (1000hp) half shaft :smirk:
Unitrax made good on it (call it a fluke ?) and I don't know what they did but I've yet to break another one
Given that these cars are heavy (3800+) and...
I have a 96 rt10 and my soft top hasn't been on my car in years. I keep it in the box my hardtop came in. That was back in 2002 and the last time I took it out of the box it looked great and it's not all wrinkled up from being stored in the folded up position anyway...........
Soft tops for...
Quote :To perform the Leak Down test, each cylinder has to be on TDC?
Yes and in my case I didn't see a need to do so. It is a pain but the easiest way to me would be by starting with number one (TDC) and going in order by the firing order and with a good light you can see the piston come up...
I had some time on my hands this past weekend so I thought I would replace the plugs and check compression while I was at it. The car is a 96 RT10 (GenI) and the motor has over 25k on it since I’ve modded it (48K total). In all honesty I haven’t even taken off a valve cover. I race it and I...
I think this is what we're leaning towards - He's lookin at Borla too so for now we might just get 02 simulators and that will take care of the other. If it's too loud for him we'll go and put cats (not factory) back in.
I think I've bought some things from you off Ebay
I appreciate everyones advice and that's why I post here. Places like this is where the experts are. I'm not oblivious to that condition but in most cases the leak has to be pretty big to create what Garron is describing. It would also then be an exhaust leak one could / should hear. I didn't...
Wow cracking manifolds and defective cats. Well I dont believe cracking manifolds and lean /rich conditions is the main culprit for failing cats. I think the cats are just a piece if s#!T to start with
I posted this in another thread but it's in reference to my thoughts about what I see as a...
I bet these are more similar than you might think
In my case it’s a totally clogged cat. In this case I would be willing to bet it’s a partially clogged cat as yours could be too. Just give it time it will get there. I’m curious to see how this cars issue pans out – what the culprit is ? I’m...
