I can see "Hoosier" on the tire sidewall in the picture of the ACR-X and I'm assuming that is what they used on their run at Laguna Seca. Does anyone know what compound they used (R6 maybe?) or was it a full on racing slick?

Thanks,
George

It was R-6 on ACR-X. And they had scrub-in laps, or would have been even faster!

But they had several sets ready to go, PS2, Cups, and R-6.:

R6 would be 1-1.5 seconds faster than the PSC on a track of Laguna's length, fresh vs. fresh. A full-on non-DOT slick would be 1-2 seconds faster than the R6. A6s somewhere between those two given cooperative weather.

ACR-X was stated as being 160lb. lighter than regular ACR, that accounts for bulk of the remainder of time difference.

Would agree.

R6 1.5 to 2 seconds faster than Cups.

Real race tires, 1 to 2 seconds faster than R6.
