Re: AVOID THIS VENDOR HE CAN\'T BE TRUSTED don\'t delete people need to know

I own a retail store and I've had instances where a customer has improprly secured an item in their own truck, and not made it out of my parking lot without smashing it.

What do I do?

9 times out of 10 I will fix or replace the damaged item (regardless of whether it's financially viable). Not because I have any part in the situation, but because I'm willing to go that extra bit to please a customer.

Now, if you are selling merchandise to customers that could be thousands of miles away (i.e. the internet), you'd better damn well make sure that they are 100% satisfied with their shopping experience. How many other options do you think they have within those thousands of miles?

Give the guy his money back and learn from your mistake. This thread alone has already cost you more than 950 bucks.

I had a great exp. with R and J recently and would use them again but I hope you get your deal settled ok. As you learned, NEVER use anything for purchase other than a credit card and I always have shipper use FED EX or I wont deal with them. DHL and mostly UPS ****. Oh, but there 2.00 cheaper.

Sorry to say Ron but it is what it is.Since you deal in the Viper community and you want to have a good name, don't stick the customer with BS parts.Sooner or later you will look like the fool.Do right by the guy so at least you have a good name.Who cares what your side is.The fact is the customer is not responsible for parts that are lost. It's your problem to have a good carrier and insurance, not the customers.

I can't believe that I actually sat here and read this whole thread for 30 minutes or so. One thing I have learned is don't do business with venomblue especially when I'm in the market for all kinds of stuff since I just got a new viper. This guy named Big Carrot sold me this plane jane that I gotta dress up!

I have no idea why you dug up a two month old post, but if you don't have any personal experience dealing with this vendor, or any other vendor for that matter, don't give any advice or opinions regarding the vendor. I personally have dealt and bought items from Ron before and he is a pleasure to deal with. His products are top-notch, and he is very helpful as well. I currently have a custom hood pad being made through him and his design sketches and advice have been of incredible aid. He is one of the few vendors out there whose customer service is as excellent as his products. Ron is truly a class-act and an asset to the Viper community. :2tu:

Re: AVOID THIS VENDOR HE CAN\'T BE TRUSTED don\'t delete people need to know

I personally work for a UPS. I have seen it all. It is really easy to get screwed doing business over the internet and I feel for all of the victims I have seen personally. My suggestions for the future are to have items shipped COD. It may cost $5 or more extra per package but is well worth the opportunity to refuse a package if it is damaged and not write any check. The more expensive items make the extra shipping charge pocket change. Also if it is stolen in the system (there are bad apples in every company), the shipper has to file the claim and if he didn't insure it it's his problem. Most UPS drivers are sympathetic to their customers needs and will allow a very quick inspection especially if it is expensive. If you plan on quickly inspecting the item be prepared to quickly repack the item if you refuse it for any reason. They want you to be happy but do have as many as 170 or more stops to do in a day. Most problems occur because of poor packaging or bad addresses. Heavy or large items can break through the bottom of a cardboard box just by walking with it up the driveway. Most often in this case there is only one strip of tape holding the bottom together or the box is really old. Remember multiple human beings handle your pagkages and you need to pack accordingly. Overpacking an expensive item will not add that much weight or cost and is cheap insurance against damage. Make sure your address is correct down to the exact housenumber. You don't want your customer's neighbor getting a chance to steal your stuff. (Yes some people are dishonest.) Speaking for UPS unofficially my company overall takes pride in its work and will often go the extra mile to keep on top of the competition as the industry leader and I recommend our service to anybody.

hard to believe people get cheap and mail order parts to try and save a buck or two, then they cry if something goes wrong, you get cheap and it costs ya.

I have also had great dealings with Ron and will continue to business with him in the future.

Why was this dug up again?
