Bone stock RT/10 1999.

I want to add:

-Exhaust? (Corsa?, what kind?)
-Side Louver fins (Where to get these, do they come painted? Install?)
-Valentine One (Where to buy? How to install and where?)

Anything else guys? I'm not a big performance guy. The only reason I'd change exhaust is for pretty chrome tips and a stronger growl.

If it hasn't been done already, smooth tubes and K&N filters are a no brainer. Better breathing adds a bit more power with no downsides and little cost.

The exhaust sound is a personal preference, but I chose the Corsa exhaust with my R/T10 because it's quieter when cruising with the top off, but still sounds great when you get on the gas.

Also when you have everything open to bolt on the cat-back exhaust, it's great time to swap out the cats with high-flow ones. There's a slight power gain, but the big bonus is from MUCH cooler side sills/cockpit temps.

You may want to look at MGW for some interior dress-up items. http://www.mgwltd.com/viper1.html

Enjoy,
-Dean.

Yep. Bone stock = Bone stock. Which means I need to buy those K&N and smooth tubes. Where do I buy, and do I self install?

To tell you the truth, regarding the cockpit heat - You may make fun of me on this one. I like how you can feel some heat seeping into the cockpit even with no heat on. And this is during summer. When winter and late fall hit, Im gunna love that heat even more. Is it just me on this?

Thanks by the way.

Chris - Roe racing sells the SB filters and tubes or other vendors sell the K&N. No big difference. SB supposedly fit better, but again no big deal and it will take YOU about 15 minutes to change them YOURSELF.

Exhaust - your 99 will really respond, but another option instead of buying a catback is to do a muffler delete(cut out muffler) and run an "X" pipe and then you can add whatever tips you like. Costs about a tenth of a Corsa and to me sounds better. Definetly do hi flow cats as well. Again Roe sells some and them the Random Techs are good cats.

Scott (Vipermed 97,01 check the parts suppliers section) of Elite Motorsports was offering the side gill thingies painted to match your car.

All of the vendors websites can be found in the marketplace section (look at the top of this page and click).

ps - whatever you do, stay the hell away from V10 MOJO and Snake Bitten. lol.

Good luck and hit the strip.

If the car is fast enough for you just make it breathe better. Most of the viper exhausts are good. I did the corsa because I had good luck with them on my C5. I also chucked the stock cats and did bellanger headers. The bellangers are the only aftermarket viper headers that I have seen in person, but they are really good quality. Also go to Napa and buy some hose and replace your intake tubes and drop a couple of K&Ns in there.

You can also do an X pipe but the corsa tips are just too cool.

Good luck!

Of course get smooth tubes and K&N drop ins. You'll still be able to drive in the rain with them, or if you just happen to get caught in the rain.

For exhaust, go out to club events and ask owners what kind of exhaust they have and if they can start up their Vipers for you. Have them give a couple blips of the throttle. If you are going without new headers, I recommend Snake-Oyl's cat back exhaust. Great sound, good volume, nice burble. Of course if you get the exh. from Snake-Oyl, you can get the smooth tubes and K&Ns from them, as well.

How big of growl do you want? Removing the muffler gives it a nice sound without scaring your date and it cost less than $150. Remove the cat and it'll be lots louder. Find a couple of tips for less than $100.

Tubes and filters from Roe.
