I called Paxton directly concerning the supercharger kit for the Viper. Its a do it yourself kit which is a direct bolt on but not for the novice. It features water injection through a seperate resovoir and an MSD box with timing control. The kit is rated at 6.5 to 7 lbs. of boost. You can increase the boost but Paxton does not recommend it. The Tech. said that they were seeing between 580 and 600 rear wheel horsepower on a stock car or a 35% increase. The kit retails for $7999.00 but summit will special order it for $7042.39 and its a 2 week hold before they can ship it out.

Lets here the opinions? What do we think about this one?

I didnt ask about what generation the chargers were setup for.

rdustman, just shoot me an email about when you will be here and we can meet up. Are you driving down? Where abouts are you looking for a condo? There are some nice ones here depending on your budget. I could set you up with my realtor if you wanted, hes a great guy and depending on how familiar you are with Hilton Head, I could steer you in the right direction.

This is the same kit we just installed on my 2001 LETHAL 750. Finished the installation yesterday.

Few corrections:
This kit is for a GEN 2 only
It does not come with an MSD box, it comes with a pre-preogrammed timing calibrator box.
On a stock car it should yield around 7.5 lbs boost
It is a complete, well thought out kit.
It comes with an intercooler.
It comes with a kit to key the crank.
Hope this clears it up.

LTHL VPR, will dyno #'s soon follow?

Is this a new type of s/c for Vipers or are other tuners using similar setup?

My main concern is reliability.

Thanks
John

J Smith-
This is a new 'kit' that Paxton is offering for Vipers. It is the ONLY 50 State Carb certified/CA street legal kit that I know of for Vipers. They tested it on a couple Vipers for quite some time. We worked on the Viper that had it on for over a year I believe.

I plan on posting dyno numbers tomorrow. Please realize that my car is not stock; it has a 550 cubic inch/750hp LETHAL 750 package installed. As a result, we have to make some modifications to the kit in order to build sufficient boost!!

We did a couple dyno's today, and should be able to post numbers by tomorrow.

John -

The new system now offered by Paxton is not the same system produced by DLM. But, I think it will have good potential. It utilizes a Novi 2000 centrifugal blower with intercooler and other features I assume to become a good option for the Viper community. I cannot say with assumption this is a perfect system with no infield testing by DLM as of yet. Testing a new system has it's pros and cons of course. We are looking into the possibility of working with the new system.

Regards,
Doug

What does this system use for fuel management? Does it come with bigger injectors? How about a new fuel pump?

With a lot of these SCer kits I am more concerned with the fuel side than I am with the air pump side.

Sorry about the mis information on my part. I will add this info though. John Henneseey who built my Venom 600, which is flawless and dyno proven "535RWHP", has offered to me and who ever else the same Paxton kit for $6600.00 and he will ship COD so there is ZERO risk.

This post was not intended to become a "voice your opinion about [******]" type of post. So I hope everyone takes the offer for what its worth.

The kit is priced correctly. I spoke with the owner last night about it and he said that if you order by credit card he will have to charge an extra 2.275% b/c of the fees associated with the transaction. Its the complete bolt on kit. The very same one Summit and everyone else sells.

Heres Paxtons pnone number 18889Paxton
