Hi folks,
I am looking at an 99' RT-10 that has a VEC-2 installed, and by reading some posts by Roe here, it seems like it works in series with the stock PCM. The car is not supercharged but has all the supporting mods and was on it's way to be done but the previous owner stopped before that was done (years ago). Do ya'll know anything I should be concerned about if I don't SC the car?

Also I've read that the stock PCM may fail if the battery discharges, what's the average cost for a replacement PCM? availability?

Thanks in advance!

Typically a PCM is $1000-1500 depending on the year. You can eliminate the Vec, they have been known to fail, but if working properly, it is making more power than the stock PCM can do. Get a dyno check done.
