Way to go Austin.............guess we better get ready for the flood of Venom Red with Silver Stripe orders,ha.

Nice shot............but can you change the color of the house, as it is really a bit blah for such a hot car, hehe.

Austin, you are definitely the photoshop man. Always great work. But I think your color is a lot better than what I saw at the auto show in Detroit. That's not the color, in my opinion.

As always, GREAT job! But the color is indeed too light (although close when it is in direct sunlight with the right angles). This "grid" is very, very close:

And this is what silver stripes look like on a Mercedes with a very similar dark red.

Oh yeah, we saw an SRT10 Dodge Ram last night in a dark red - could be darn near the same color! Oh yeah, and probably due in no small part to the press releases, Venom Red is the most popular color ordered of the three colors available for ordering so far, followed by Viper GTS Blue and Snakeskin Green. The latter of which has quite a few orders as well - as it deserves to! :2tu:

I ordered that very 08 color combination with razor wheels. No doubt, I will be the first on my block to have it! The apprehension is already killing me....

So what's the word on when the real thing will hit the streets? The Venom Red appears to be another one of those colors that you have to see in person to decide on whether you like it or not.

I was thinking about Venom Red for my Street Serpent - but am now leaning towards a DARK Candy Red.

Saleen's "Liz Stick" red is one of the best red's I've ever seen on a car. I hope the Venom Red is close to this.

Maybe now that Saleen is involved with the painting of the Vipers, you will get your wish.:2tu:

Unfortunately, it is the manufacturer (in this case DCX) that chooses the colors, not the painters. Saleen will be given the paint codes and told to paint it. I suspect they wouldn't want to clone their own "trademark" colors anyway. So expect the Venom Red to look very much like Chrysler's own press release photos:

Still a gorgeous color to be sure! :2tu:
