Re: What\'s the longest road trip you have taken in your Viper?
Buffalo, NY to Riverside, CA in 3 days. My butt is still in atrophy from holding the gas pedal in one location for that many hours a day.
Ohio sucked, radar, lazer you name it they wanted to nail me.
Utah was about the same...
The pump is off of a Jeep Cherokee or some such truck. From what I gather the reservoir is viper at least when I changed mine I had to use the same reservoir.
I'm betting its your pump seal that's leaking.
OK need some help here understanding. I've read the other thread and both my service manuals (94 and 99) It seems that somewhere between the evolution of the gen 1 and gen 2 they changed from Dextron IIe for the 94 T-76 tranny to MilSpec-9070 for the 99 T-76 tranny.
Anyone know of any reason I...
IMHO, I would not be afraid of the miles, but I do a lot of my own maintenance. I would want a test drive though. Sometimes on E-bay due to location its not possible. I'd see if one the Missouri members could test drive it for you.
PS: 99 is the best year for a GTS.
Welcome, although I'm a little past the 'waddup' age there is a lot to do around So. Cal.
What part are you located in? I'm roasting in Riverside.
Happy to have you aboard, now let's go find that perfect Gen 1.
Re: SD Vipers \"Yo Prez\" Tech Day for Willow Springs Sat 10AM
I'd come Dave but with the noise my 94 makes, well let's just say they threw me out of Crystal Cove last time I went. :smirk:
IMHO the blue microfiber towels that Sam's club sells are completely awesome! They are 16x16 and fold in quarters. Don't buy them all though I need a few more.
I had previously tired the 100% cotton towels Griots sells and they are trash.
Front
- 1.8 degree Camber
+ 5.9 degree Caster
1/16th inch Toe Out
Rear
- 1.3 degree Camber
1/8 inch Toe IN
That's what I shoot for.
I'm not sure if its peculiar to the Gen 1 (gotta remember I'm a lowly gen 1 driver) and I can't quite get the full 5.9 degree before losing some camber, but...
Some actually have an R and L on them. You need to really look carefully for it, not obvious at all. Depending on the rotor it is important especially if the cooling vains are angled.
If that deal is for real, meaning the seller will actually part with it for the $23,511.00 it went for then I think someone got a fantastic deal.
I live in Cali and know from experience you can put freeway miles on a car in no time. I went to dinner tonight and put 60 miles on the odometer in...
Re: Jack Powell Dodge Barbacue& Carshow Run July 16th PIC\'S
Great Job and one of the funest runs ever Dave.

Re: WB Air Fuel expose\'
Except its not NBS (National Bureau of Standards) any more its NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology.
I agree with everything else said.
Everything that measures something requires traceability back to NIST. Without it you've simply have guesstimates...

OK so, I have two events comming up one in August and one in September. The temperature today was around 105.
Anyone have advice on the best product to keep me cool?
Other than a maitai beside the pool that is.
Re:
You could come to Willow Springs next month. WCV is having a track day (weekend) it's more reasonable than Viper Days and could help you warm up (pun intended) before the hot track in NV. Check this site out > WCV Track Day
I'd agree with Bob but I'd use someone else's words, sorry I forget who just now but it goes;
"KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE, AND YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER"
Think about it.
Re: I just got home from jail....anyone in here a traffic attorney? BS char
