I was thinking that too... if you can go 85 easily, no one is gonna steadily be checking it to make sure they don't exceed that unless they have cruise control set for "85". Ton's of people would be going in the 90s on average. :smirk:
This might be a really stupid question.. but would using a SCT Handheld Tuner to program different tunes into your car affect anything resulting in you not passing emissions too?
So did this only happen because it was an Aluminum Flywheel? Could this ever happen if it were steel like the Chromoly? Also, did this only happen with the Aluminum because of a lot of power and torque?
I noticed in the video the firebird recorded 526.64rwhp on the dyno...was that just...
I've heard good things about the SPEC Clutches.
However, I've heard good things about CenterForce Clutches too. So that is what I'll be looking into regardless of some negative comments about them on the forums..
Yup, I believe I did speak with them about that. Which I do have a daily driver, so I should be all set.. thanks for the info everyone, I'll prob follow up with them sometime next week :2tu:
My tires do have a 30 sidewall. Is that not enough?
Michelin Pilot Sport 2, 295/30/ZR19
Michelin Pilot Sport 2, 335/30/ZR20
I'm gonna be more careful anyways, as i have been since it's not only my car I'm being cautious with, but also being observant of other cars making stupid mistakes and...
Alright, good to know. I'll prob try calling them than. Do they only allow you to go through them if you put on low mileage every year? I don't drive my car a ton, but at most I normally put around 6,200 miles a year. So I guess 6,500-7,000 tops.
I tried Hagerty first, but because I live in MA, had 1 or 2 tickets on my record and the fact I drive my car 6k miles a year they denied me.
My father was actually browsing the web after I told him I was considering Grundy and found some things and was telling me about it. From what I can...
I have 19s front and 20s rear on my 96 GTS and have also lost control of my car, but from what I can remember it was while accelerating in a straight line from 3rd to 4th gear and it was only from braking. I'm almost positive I was going in the range of 65-75mph. Last year a mini van almost side...
How is Grundy? I was looking into them, but haven't filled out the paper work they mailed me yet, since I also have to attach photos and invoices to prove all the mods I got so I can get valued for them as well.
The only thing holding me back at the moment, are some of the scam stories I've...
Does anyone else see this as a huge problem? I was actually wondering about this exact thing since I plan on purchasing a lightweight flywheel this summer..
The only two I know of that seem worth buying are Fidanza(Aluminum - 18lbs) and Chromoly(Steel - 22lbs).
Does state farm only base the car's value? Or do they consider mods into the value? I'm trying to find a place that will alow me to appraise my car including mods.
I've went to the grocery stores MANY times in my viper lol.. However, my weekly groceries only come to about $45-$60 on average. So I don't need a lot of room for everything :2tu:
I don't regret anything yet....but won't really know until after I have more stuff installed.
My current exhaust is:
Factory Stock Headers
RandtomTech Ceramic High-Flow Cats
Corsa 3" Cat-back Exhaust
I just bought new ARH, so my Exhaust setup this summer will be:
American Racing Headers...
+1 to both :2tu:
As I mentioned earlier, although I don't like Mustangs, that doesn't mean I look down at anyone who owns one. I personally can't stand the young kids who own them and think they are the "$hit" and try to show off with them...but then again, most young kids with any performance...
Damn.. really? It seems like a lot of posts I've seen, people compare the best setups for performance including either the Belanger setup or the Corsa setup. What is the best exhaust for performance gains then? Belanger and Borla can't be the only two right? What about B&B? I barely looked into...
