Vipermann, I have to believe that the ONLY units sitting in showrooms more than a day or two will be those that are in dealerships that have that infamous "Market Adjustment" sticker to the right of the REAL Window sticker!
Just e-mailed to me. I believe this is the first time they shot (or photochopped) the red without stripes!
Here's the e-mail's text:
Thanks for signing up for 2008 Viper updates, speed fans. Now get ready to start your engines and experience the new 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10.
Fangs bared...
Once again, not sure if anyone visited the SRT site lately, as it seems they added a little "3D spin-able" image of the 2008:
Just click "Dodge" on the bottom:

Jon B, maybe you can chime in on this...
Considering that John Fernandez was heavily involved with SRT engineering at the time....
and considering that John's history included working at Shelby's shop during his "early years"....
Can we say that some of his theories might have rubbed off...
:o
Congrats Johanner! I had nothing to do with it!
I just supplied moral support for a dear friend!
I always thought your silver/blue ACR was 'da bomb.... but your new coupe blows it away!
Great suggestions! I have learned that a tense elbow tends to "pull" towards you rather than straight down in the "H" pattern. My suggestion would be to keep your arm resting ON the console while shifting rather than above it. This seems to work for me.

THAT'S what the VCA is supposed to be all about!
Way to go VCA!
Tony, you have made this event better and better each year!
Bob, Marv and all other volunteers - INCREDIBLE JOB!
Just an FYI:
VCA edition vehicles USUALLY were extensively "negotiated" by your VCA National officers, and the negotiation usually focused on weighing out cost factors that are incurred with adding a unique color/features, as ALL of DC's manufactured products must maintain specific durability...
I'm a big fan for silver as well..... and coincidentally, 2008 will be the 10th year anniversary of the introduction of the silver/blue paint combo on the gen2!
Can we post some feedback here from REAL '08 buyers (or should I say wait-list participants) as to whether they would like another...
SA2005 is the current rating that you should look for in an auto racing helmet (M ratings are for motorcycles, and don't include the fire resistant cushions and of course, different impact characteristics).
Helmetcity.com offers a 10% discount when you are a VCA member (just mention that you...
First and foremost, at least in the US, even if you have a 4 - 6 point harness installed....
The Gov't doesn't recognize that as a seat belt, and you must still wear your 3 point unit.
BUT, if for some reason you would like to turn off the "Piep" (I'm assuming that's German for "Beep"?)...
Re: AUSTIN\'S 2008 COLOR CHART FOR EASE OF USE
I'm no Picasso, but I tried to match Chris' color tiles (see insert in each pic, as this is an actual paste of Chris' original tile) just to get an idea of some of the new choices:
ahh... but MY post mentions "blue" as one of the available stripes.
I believe it is a typo from the Dodge press release, but one never knows!
I'll keep on researching.
There's an autoshow area of the Dodge website that states the following:
"Eight exterior colors will be introduced throughout the model year-five of which are all-new including Venom Red, Snakeskin Green, Viper Violet, Viper Orange and Bright Blue.
Racing stripes continue to be an option with...
