I've taken appart untouched differentials from the factory and found bearings not pressed on all the way, uncrushed or missing crush sleaves.....maybe your car was built on a friday ????
Either that or you wheel hopped it to death ;)
You're wasting your time and money on changing the oil. It's the gears and the noise will not go away. At a minimum you need a new set of gears and pinion bearings.
Just look at it as a good time to upgrade. 3.55's are a blast! Add in a better differential like the Quaife and you're good...
I'm not totally against the idea of the 20/22 combo on a Viper, I'd never do it but I'm sure it can be pulled off with the right wheel/tire combo. I'm also a fan of Asanti wheels though I've never seen a set on a Viper that I like.
They seem to have better grip not because the Nero is a...
Most high end wheels are a reverse mount style with the tire drop out located towards the inner portion of the barrel. This design makes the wheel look bigger, more open and it provides more clearance for things like brakes.
The problem with the design is that it retains water and on a rainy...
driver side is used more so it makes sense that they would sell more....and the price would be higher.
I always thought the window mechanism seemed delicate, I've always made sure the window is finished moving up or down before opening or closing the door.
It connects to the same switched power source as the split second box (thin red 20 gauge wire).....pin number 2 ( pink with grey stripe )in the black PCM C1 connector.
I use wheel techniques-san jose (408) 496-6363 and wheels america-hayward area (510) 487-9000 Either way it's around 175 per wheel if you want them clear coated again(paint).
With out clear coat its 125-150 per wheel. The clear coat from these guys is not very durable and will peel off if...
How far did the pipe go into the muffler? Those look like heavier clamps...try tightening them up a bit and start it see if it helps.
When the pipes heat up they move backward around 1/2 inch, you need to have them positioned close to the front of the opening.
35ftlbs? you're going to need to tighten it more than that if you don't want it to leak...plus you better put some spot welds where they are coupled together otherwise it will start rotating downward and eventually the tip will touch the side sill.
I know people who have done it and having the extra few hundred rpms made the differenced when racing. I would have to shift and the other car with the high rev limit was able to pull away because he could stay in the lower gear longer.
I agree with Martin though, unless you upgrade the other...
