You left out Viper Racing League at Spring Mountain!
I'll be there, racing my Panoz. I'll have to record the speed word challange GT race on the VCR in the Motorhome. :nana:
Family first!
Brian, you did the right thing! I hope to see the car at a VRL race soon,in my mirror (LOL).
And as for the 4 mpg. It runs on pump gas, thats cheep.
John, I received all of these today??? deleted them with out opening.
Do you get adds from pharmacudical on line? I can't seem to stop them. I block them and they use a new name?
I'd rather be driving my GTS. (now this thread is legit)

And, several VRL drivers were there to support those racing. Plenty of action for the VCA members there to watch. To see the look on some of the spectators wondering the paddock when Jonathan ask them if they would like to sit in his car was priceless. :2tu:

Although I find your machine practice quite primitive, I admire your results.
(I own a CNC machine shop, just ribbin' ya!) Nice work! :2tu:
But check this out, the last photo reminded me that after five years, I...
I suggest a club event as apposed to a high priced driving school. You will get more track time and will be instructed by other club members. Some are racers and some are track day drivers.
Look up, Open track racing. They do events at Willow Springs in Southern California.
Must Do, Viper...
Re: It\'s AC repair time, I guess...
Jeff,
Mine was leaking over time.I found it was leaking at the valve. The thing that looks like a tire valve. This might be why your friend did not see a leak,That is if he had a pressure gauge on the valve.
Re: I am having a hella of time taking off my crank damper...need advice...
Put some grease on the threads of the center bolt that drives against the crank. You will get a lot more force out of it. Also, are you using a 1/2 impact wrench? I have not removed the pulley on a Viper but did my V-8...
Cal Cobra, if you would like to track at Thunder Hill, I would be happy to instruct you at one of the Northern California Racing club events. When you sign up, let Dave know that Viper Dan offered to instruct you, He will set it up. http://www.ncracing.org/Club events.
I instruct at Viper days...
Cal,
My Machine shop is in Santa Clara. I work on my own Viper, But my shop works on the Space Shuttle.
A trip down to visit Ted will give you a god overview of what is being done to local Vipers, CC's as well as SRT-4's. Stone Ridge is a good choice for Warrantee work.
Hi Brian,
Call Ted May, He just moved, his old # was 408-448-8811. His shop is in San Jose, by the Shark Tank. If that # dose not work, You are welcome to call me at my shop, 408-982-9137 for more info.

The toe out is just right for track or auto cross. The car will drift around on the street. I would take the tools with you along with a jack and remove the shims at the track. Replace them before your drive home as well. You might want to try this at home on one side just to get the hang of it...
I used a bottle meant for feeding your lawn. Screw it onto a hose and add dish soap into the bottle. This way you get soap and water mixed with some pressure. But not enough to cause any harm.
The straight is not that long. If they went down to Mazda turn that would add another 100 yards +/-, as well as another 10 MPH. The sweeper at the end of the drag strip is a little tight. It's also a reducing corner that averages an entry speed of around 60 MPH. 142 MPH is fast!

Re: How do I figure out if my brake rotors need to be turned/machined or no
SF,
You can resurface your rotors, I've cut mine several times. Since I have a machine shop I can control the amount of material removed. Most of the time it takes .005-.010 off each side. The rotors can warp, but most...
After you check every thing, and if every thing is ok, The wire harness through the door has failed on a vary high number of cars. First, one thing will fail (speaker) a while later the window will not work, then the door won't open.
Is your car under warrantee? take it in for service.
Good...
