As long as cars like the AC Cobra are popular I am sure the Viper will also be popular. The Viper was built to be the modern day Cobra.
I know I tend to lean more towards the basic bare bones, easy to fix with brutal power and unique styling and beautiful round lines opposed to the sharp edges...
He is not that far off, it has under 10,000 miles. Super clean low mile Gen II Vipers are getting harder and harder to find. The only thing hurting him is it is red which does not have the low production numbers as some of the other colors. I think he will get close to his asking price if he...
They made a lot of B&W cars. That said they tend to be a favorite. I think low production one year color 01's and 02's with abs, FE's and ACR's will do well too but then I am biased.
Good luck with your sale. No story low mileage clean cars are hard to find anymore. I would stay firm with my price and be patient, the right person will come around. Plenty of average cars but premium cars are far and few apart.
SO TRUE on both accounts. I know when I looked for either a Sapphire/Silver or Graphite/Silver car like 8 years ago nice examples were SOOOO hard to find. I cannot imagine they are getting any easier to find today.
I already included all ACR's. It is 39 and 46 for a total of 85. While it is not a major thing I do feel ABS makes for a better car. Certainly do not want to debate it on this thread, nor do I want to get into the creampuff/forged discussion. All topics that have strong options by people on...
Yes, the rare 1 year only low production colors will definitely appreciate just as much as the b/w or FE cars in my opinion. I think the Graphite/Silver, Sapphire/Silver or the Bumble Bee (yellow/black 01 and 02) will be at the top of the list since they are very low production numbers such...
I have to agree with about the sensation being more important than the numbers. I drove the McLaren MP4 12C and while it was an awesome car which was super fast it put the power down to the road so easily with no drama it was actually boring to drive. How many 10 second cars have you driven...
My question to you is why do you own such a piece of crap and even bother posting on this forum. If I were you I would not even want to be associated with, as you call it, such an abysmal build quality car that is dropping in value quicker than the stock market did in 2008. My advice to you is...
LOL...
What I cannot understand is the 993 and 997 GT3/GT3RS market. Looking at the prices the P cars are going for and what you get for your money I am shocked that the Gen II Viper market is not through the roof. Not saying it is bad, I think they actually hold their value really well...
I am not sure that a Mecum Auction would really set the price for any car, especially a Viper. Vipers are a unique market and you really need the right buyer in the audience to buy that car. That said vipers like that BW one are getting harder and harder to find and are slowly disappearing...
Mine is like a limp noodle, the centering spring is super weak. I don't want anything super noisy but want a more precise and shorter throw if possible
I am also going to change the fluid as it does not shift quite as smooth when it gets warm. Im think a fluid change will help that.
They make other generations...? I always thought it was only Gen II's. ;-)
Gen II's were the pinnacle of Viper production and will always be my favorite. Preferably 01 or 02 with the abs brakes which I see as the high point in Viper history.
What would it take to replace your Gen II. For me it is actually nothing. But I was looking into the same question with my Callaway and the only two cars that I could come up with was a Ford GT or a Porsche 993 TT or preferably TTS. Unfortunately both of these cars have appreciated to the point...
Problem is the dealership probably wiped dust off of it numerous times not thinking about all the damage they were doing. Good news is 95% will come out with the right detailer and product. Do your homework before letting anybody touch the car and get recommendations from Autopia or Autogeek...
Anybody on the board bidding on this car. Looks like the reserve has been met and somebody is going to get an incredible deal on this car, wish it was me.
Anybody looking for a GTS should grab this one FAST.

I'd be a little concern since the next guy that goes to buy ti will be concerned just as you are. Doesn't mean there is something wrong but it does raise red flags in peoples minds. I am #2 on my 3400 mile 01 Sapphire Silver.
If you car is clean you should be able to get your 39k with no problems. I find everybody has a different definition of what a pristine car is. Not saying your car is not clean as I obviously have not seen it. Could also be how you are marketing it. Even the finest of Vipers take time to...
