Had an '06 Coupe and traded up for an '08 Coupe.
The one thing that bugs me, and it is minor, is the Throttle-By-Wire. Just takes some getting used to.
The GenIV rides smoother, shifts better, and runs much stronger!:2tu:
How much advance warning do you need to have one of these available?
And would I be able to get one, swap my stock intake out for the ported intake one weekend, then ship you back the stocker?
Will I need new gaskets? (750 miles on my '08)
Pretty sure this is on my 'To do' list...
Current:
'08 Viper Coupe
'09 Chevy Cobalt SS
Previous:
'06 Viper Coupe
'04 SRT Ram
'04 Ford SVT Focus
'99 Ford SVT Lightning
'95 Ford SVT Cobra R
'94 Ford SVT Lightning
'93 Ford SVT Cobra
and my fastest to date (10.8 @ 125 on 20psi, capable of 28psi), 1991 GMC Syclone
Decent times. Will only get better with practice.
I have yet to run mine, but w/ 3.55's it sounds as if I'll be needing DR's as well if I plan on getting any traction in 1st...
I owned an SRT Ram when I drove a Viper for the first time. My Bud had an '04 Black Mamba and he wanted to know if the clutch felt 'right', so he asked me to drive it.
He kept saying I could lay into it, which I never did. This is why.:nono:
Hope this guy has a speedy recovery.
I'm searching for the same type for my '08. I found one I like at Big Sky Car Covers (I've purchased numerous covers from them over the years). It's called Block-it Dustop and it looks to be about ~$206 + shipping.
I copy/pasted this info:
Dustop:
Soft & Almost Totally Dust-Proof
4-Layer...
I used this in my '06 Coupe because I disconnected the battery more than a few times.
I made it out of simple plexiglass and cut a hole in it for the quick disconnect. Had a strip of foam-cushion type material w/ a sticky side. Ran it along the edge to (somewhat) seal it up.
It'll be going...
