Re: Max HP and Boost on Stock Short Block GTS/RT10 (\'96-99MY)
I think you would be safe at 14 lbs with 11.5-1 A/F You should be able to double the Hp at with 14lbs boost
sigh... I have bit my tonge with the responses you post, but in this case I have to interject. The car will probably not be worth as much, but if you have the time and know what you are doing rebuilders are worth doing. I have seen your car and it will not take $10K to repaint it, less than...
third party claim, I was hit by another driver he is at fault and its his insurace co that is fighting. Yes my case is differant, but along the same lines. Insurance companys make thier own rules, and you have to spend a fortune fighting them. Each state has a regulatory agency that is...
Re: Early Pictures of Paolo Catesllano\'s DIY TT for Gen II Cars
Paolo, what about using Jet hot coating and stainless shields (like motorcycles used to have when the exhasut ran up high)
brakes are cheaper than motors, they teach you that in racing, never use your motor to slow you down. Durning my stint at superbike school they would pull you off the track if you downshifted and used the motor compression to slow you down.
this is necessary on forced induction over 5 psi I am finding out! Oil is coming out of my dipstick and I have two breathers on my valve covers. I will probably make my own however out of 304 stainless rather than AL as the stainless will never tarnish and it will match my tubing and meth tank.
I know of 8 super charged mustangs in upstate (syracuse NY area). Not one dynos over 500 Hp, Not saying that there are faster mustangs, but I still dont think its the norm.
I dont think there are too many blown stangs over 500 Hp. Thats what it will take to beat a GEN1 from 50-150. I am sure there are some, but its not the norm. Gen1 vipers are not the best handling over 150 MPH.
Re: Please provide more data
5. You mention: "The crank sensor input, where a Split Second FTC1 and some other controllers alter sensor voltage inputs to the stock PCM in order to change injector offset." If injector offset is incorrect because of PCM/VEC II interaction issues, wouldn't the...
Re: Please provide more data
can we let this thread die, His last response was pure nonsense. I know oi at least three reputable tuners producing cars in excess of 1000 hp that have had good results with the vec 2. Your "expert" has no clue what he is talking about.
Re: Statues Available
I am listening to experts. Believe it or not there are some that do not agree with Sean's diagnosis including the experts that fixed the problem last Saturday by disconnecting the PCM for three hours. They disagreed with Sean's diagnosis then and still do.
The experts who...
Re: VEC2
Sean,
you are correct about the coil pack upgrade. I searched all over for something as I thought I was getting spark blow out. Your the master of innovation, why dont you get someone (MSD) to make us high output coil packs? I thought about using the capaciter type plug wires, but I...
