I think most larger TB's don't do much to benefit your performance unless you have some major mods. Save your money! I believe you will make more power with the stock TB's in most cases. Check out "Larger Throttle Bodys" in the F.A.Q section of the VCA Home page for more info.
Lord, I will probably hate myself for even getting in this discussion, but here goes.
First of all, if you will do a "search" on this topic, you will find numerous posts. I have been one of the people who have experienced this problem and fought it continually. I replaced the IAC motor and...
Not to be disrespectful, but, methinks I would like some actual demonstration of this unit backed up with data before I parted with that that kind of money. Russ, you let the proverbial "cat out of the bag", now show us the goods! This would be the foundation of all Viper engine Mods if you can...
Robert, the truth of the matter (as I see it) is that you are not going to achieve a significant power/performance increase from 1.7 rockers unless you do your heads, intake, and exhaust as a package. The name of the game is "breathing". Your money would be better spent doing smooth intake...
Reggie, try the following link for a Viper gear chart. It will calculate the GEAR/RPM-VOLOCITY (MPH) in relation to which differential gear you are using. This is a very handy chart, and I think the link should be a part of the Tech section on the VCA main page myself...
Meaner.....YES
Noise......I would suggest the adjustable rear mufflers
to suite your taste if noise is a concern.
HP.........As good or better than the industry standard
A very high quality system that fits well. Expensive, but worth the price. I have 24 thousand miles on my...
WARNING! States have very specific rules regarding motor vehicle equipment especially if it pertains to lighting. You may be buying something that looks cool, but you will get fined for if used. Check first with your state motor vehicle code. God only knows we are targets enough! Besides, the...
Factory recommends between .005" and .008" inches for the differential ring gear. It has always seemed that there is an excessive amount of lash in the stock setup. Anyone running them on the tight side with out problems?
Re: can\'t open the door while the viper is moving.
AB, if you must open the door on the roll, and you can get to it, just pull the emergency door release! Just don't spit before you find the handle.
I finally broke down after 4 years of using the stock 3.07 gears and have ordered some of the new Unitrax 3.33's from Parts Rack for my Venom 650R. Even with the wide open driving out here in Montana, the 3.07's were a little steep. The Parts Rack kit comes complete with ring/pinion, rear end...
Quick check on my 97 GTS shows 1 & 1/8 inches from the top of the aluminum cross member to the pulley face directly opposite the member. The engine appears to be slightly canted to the rear.
Has anyone taken into consideration that Bicky lives in Canada? The price of any car just went up with CDN Duty and possible retrofitting for Canadian compliance!
You might make sure that you are depressing the clutch ALL the way to the floor, or the safety switch will prevent the car from starting. Even floor mats sometimes interfere with this process. Just a thought!
