    Reattaching front nose emblem?

3M molding tape works good also, if you can't find Dave's stuff. It can be gotten in the body section at autozone or advanced auto.

    Gen II Front wheel needed

I could be wrong here, but I think that only 96 5 spoke wheels were forged. The 97/98's were cast. The 99's are the same style as the 00-02's.

    O2 simulators hillbilly style........

While two stacked together can't hurt, mine is working fine with just 1. 200 miles so far and all readiness monitors set to ready and no code thrown.

    O2 simulators hillbilly style........

well sort of. If there is anyone out there that has done a high flow cat upgrade or install straight pipes and gotten the dreaded check engine light from doing so there may be a cheap remedy. I installed random tech high flow cats about a year ago on my 01 RT/10 and ever since kept getting...

    black rod in trunk?????

There might be a plastic piece mounted to each a pillar on the inside of the windsheild. The black rod goes through the middle of the tonneau cover and then the ends of it where the rubber grommets are get mounted into the plastic pieces on the windshield. If the plastic pieces aren't...

    Illinois Emissions Testing

Let it sit overnight, 8-12 hours maybe. Fire it up the next day and drive a little, it should run the evaporative test. I can't remember exactly but it might require one or two cold starts. I hope this helps, post back either way.

    Need Catalytic Converters... Help...

These are the same cats that Roe Racing sells for less. Here is the link. High Flow Catalytic Converters - Roe Racing I cannot figure why "the viper store" is still in business. They are about the most expensive place to buy viper stuff, yet they keep hanging around somehow. I've never...

Sears has an aluminum race jack, it is on sale this weekend for 159, if you are a craftsmen member, if not its like 179, but still not bad, it fits under the viper.

    My coolant overflow looks empty?

Turn the wheels all the way to the right and park on a level surface. Remove the black rubber cap in the wheel well behind the passenger fog light. stick a flashlight through the hole in there and hold it up against the plastic overflow bottle. The shadow casted on the bottle will let you see...

I went with a small from Bell on the motorcycle chart. It fits pretty tight, I coulda probably used a medium, but it will work well. Kristina can borrow it if it fits her!

    Illinois Emissions Testing

Mines an 01, I've gotten all my monitors to reset in under 25 miles. The key is drive super easy, shift gears at lower rpm's. Let the car decellerate 3 or 4 times from highway speed leave it in 4th or 5th gear. Take for a little interstate run to let everything get up to normal temp, drive in...

    Illinois Emissions Testing

Larry, are you going to the autocross on Saturday. I can give you some more info about it then if you are. The car has to go through probably at least a couple of complete drive cycles to get all the monitors to set themselves to ready. Just going on a 200 mile drive isn't necessarily going...

    HC Emissions too High

    Shift speeds?

If you get tired of shifting gears you could trade your 6 speed viper in for an automatic viper. Then you wouldn't even have to worry about it. :D

    Gen 1 & 2 thermostat in classifieds. $25 shipped

You might reconsider Chad. With the 180, which is what I have in mine, it will run a few degrees cooler on your occasional trips down I-75 to Tampa. Mine runs on the first line to the left now on the interstate, where it ran in the middle before.

Lil help changing my fluids ...

Stick with the Mopar Trans and rear diff fluid. I used a 3/8" clear piece of tygon tubing to refill both the trans and diff since I'm too cheap to by a fluid pump. You can feed the tubing into the fill holes a bit and then stick a funnel into the fill end and use gravity to fill both.

New owner questions and looking for a Viper shop?

You could probably purchase a service manual for your car and change the fluids yourself for less money than you'd pay someone to change them and you still wouldn't have the manual. Most around here would recommend 3M clear bra as a much better product than speed lingere bra mentioned...
