RobZ, I'm guessing that you don't have the Roe kit on your car. Stock is fine if you have the Roe Kit. Like I said before, it is an air flow issue, not a radiator issue. Increased air flow to ANY radiator needs to be increased on the Viper. :)...
I have had both the Ron Davis and Fluidyne and they are pretty much the same performance wise. The problem is not the radiator (the stock one is sufficient) it is the air flow that is getting to them. The front fascia kit that Sean Roe sells will lower your radiator temps much more than...
Spoke to ARP las month regarding this very issue. They would not sell the Dodge wheel studs to me as they said they had an agreement with Archer Racing and they only ship to them as the distributer. Not wanting to lathe down the shoulders myself I just went ahead and ordered them through...
The Sapphire with the side exhaust is a special car. It belonged to Paul Mumford. It did have a built Caldwell motor in it and was the Ultimate Street Car Champion about four years ago. It was built to tear up both the streets and any road course it was taken on.
Did Newport's brakes today. Took about 60 min to do all four corners using a single jack and jack stand. Gen 3 brakes are the easiest to do in my book. Not to worry Viper Dan I double checked to make sure the material side was facing the rotor this time! NO more Cal Speedway incidents!
Went back to the track today and yikes John, you were right. Ran 1 session with the Brakeman 4's then switched them out to the Mintex and the difference was night and day. The initial bite of the Mintex was far superior than the Brakemans. I will keep the Brakeman 4's as a last ditch back up...
Dave, I should be down your way in a week or two. You buy the pads and I can put them on for you while you wait. I run the SRT-10 calipers on my race car and have tons of practice. :)
Carl, I can think of another reason and it is a 5 letter word that starts with a "P" and ends with a "Y"
Why not ask the racers who actually drive the same track that you speak of and drive GTS race cars? Hmmm..... You can run 1:30's at WSIR with your stock set up on Pilot Sports no less...
Why not have the factory install "baby buggy bumpers" while your at it just in case you bump another car while parking. You are 65 and racing on a public road with a passenger in the car asleep no less. The problem isn't the lack of traction control, it's with people, doing stupid things. A...
I'm sure the guy selling the upgraded single piston set up will chime in on this one. If your car is strictly a street car, then the stock set up is more than adequate. Now, if you track your car regularly, then that is a different story.
I have a fiberglass hood that has the center and wheel vents.
Save you orginal hood. My hood is brand new, ready for paint and can be had at a reasonable price. Send me your email and I can forward pics. The hood weighs 40 lbs.
