My custom 10 rib system is complete. Pics.

Adam, are you cooling the fuel return to the tank, that would seem to make sense since it is hotter than the fuel in the tank ? BTW......nice job, but are you using a chassis brace ?

bought a cool tool today! Machined my own parts.

Nice little set up, wish I had the space in my garage for something similar. And that lathe looks like great value, guess I dismissed a cheap lathe as not being able to do a quality job, but its working for you.

Just a word of caution on the Paxton Pin kits....I got lucky. pics

Nice 10 rib pulley Adam, did you have it custom made ? How close to the rack does it run ? I find my motor moves forward a bit on the mountings in use. Are you still using the standard Paxton blower bracket attached to the head at the 3 PAS pump mountings and have you noticed any flex at the...

    NGK Iridium Plugs - Observations

I sell both the NGK and Denso iridium plugs. I have looked at both and they look of equally high quality. Denso iridium have been on the market for several years, NGK are more recent. I was told of a problem with a Denso iridium tip separating and causing an engine failure on a Subaru but with...

Need Advice on Header Heat Shields

Use the DC Performance heat shields. I do with Belanger headers. They work very well, look good, the difference in heat in the engine compartment is noticeable. I have no problems with the coating. I was dubious at first about the heat shields especially at the price, but Dan was right, I...

So I did the side sill rivit nut conversion tonight....

Use steel rivinuts, the alloy type are not suitable. The ones I used are 5mm with a hex type external....works great.

need to remove the inner wheel wells

Yep, thats it, pull out all the plastic ones, drill out the front steel one, they it just pulls away from the other steel wheel arch ones..........also its easier to grind off the front one.

need to remove the inner wheel wells

BTW, you only need to drill out the front rivet, just behind the door.

Comments from the heart of the Belanger "pickle" debate

Re: Comments from the heart of the Belanger Not quite the same thing, but the comments on the Coanda nozzle in this article are interesting http://www.cafefoundation.org/aprs/EPG%20PART%20IV.pdf

    For those with Belangers exhaust....

My point is that the tri-y header doesnt need pickles and to have them there in the first place smacks of "backyard rocket science". Its a pity Lou Belanger couldnt give some input here as to the reasoning for having the pickles. I think if he could, the reason would be simple....to pull up...

    For those with Belangers exhaust....

Thats interesting. I dont doubt that the pickles have their place, especially on an NA motor, even a highly tuned one. My motor made over 900 blown rwhp with the pickles in place, I just hope that it may do better without them. Also an NA motor will rely on exhaust tuning to help fill the...

    For those with Belangers exhaust....

With difficulty since I dont currently have access to a dyno, and unless the test was back to back, it would probably be meaningless anyway. However, I feel certain that the headers will flow more gas......the pickles actually reduce the cross sectional area of the pipe by more than 1/3. This...

No problem here without the liner.

    Denso spark plugs?

Excellent plugs, I sell them every day. But for the standard Viper the projection into the chamber is less than the OE Champions. I think this is a disadvantage for a stock or mildly modded motor.

Water/Meth injection thoughts on Centrifugal chargers....

Adam, I've been thinking along the same lines, I already have 4 0.7 aquamist jets spraying just before the throttle bodies in the y piece. I had thought about decreasing 2 of those to 0.6 jets and putting a 0.3 jet just before the supercharger inlet. The thinking behind this is that the blower...
