    Texas VCA Gathering

A big thanks to Dodge for letting us drive the 2001s. It is very helpful for current owners to drive a newer model. I know it sold my girlfriend on a 2001 now. Dodge, please pay attention! This type of event is selling more cars for you!

K-40 Radar Detection Unit?? - Anyone have any experience with it?

My buddy had the K40 and Valentine in his 911T. He hates the K40 and turns it off.

    Heavy Brake Fade

Try the EBC pads from Greatbrakes.com . I ran the Greens at a track event (made for street use) and they worked great. I'll be trying the Reds at a track event this summer. The Castrol SRF is awesome, but very expensive. I switched to the much cheaper Castrol GT LMA (about $5) and flush is...

    I'm looking for a Viper...Have some questions

Re: I\'m looking for a Viper...Have some questions re 2: 96 GTS wheels were made of a different material. They may not be a good choice if you are going to drive your car on the track. See the tread started a few months ago for info at http://64.70.135.137/ViperUBB/Forum14/HTML/001793.html

    Towing a Viper question

That's a pretty short wheel base and not much power. I wouldn't try it. I used to pully mine with a 5.4L Expedition (pulls 8000 lb) and it was fine with an open trailer. When I bought an enclosed trailer, I had to move up to an Excursion.

    ROE RACING's VEC1

Re: ROE RACING\'s VEC1 I've got one and love it. I bought it in St. Louis at VOI6 and had Sean install it there. You can definitely feel the difference. Much less stumble and feels like more torque. Do a search for "vec" and you'll find lots of posts.

    Best Trailer?

I just bought a 24 ft enclosed Wells Cargo Autowagon. Picked it up at the factory in Waco, TX. For the Viper, you need a ramp door extension since the lip is too steep. I also added a winch that really helps w loading the car by myself. Otherwise, you have to drive up, and crawl out the...

    Zaino saved my side sills!

I've got a Red 97 GTS. Last week, I rented an open trailer to pull the car to a driving event. When loading the car by driving up the ramps, I pulled a little too far to the right and scraped my side sill on the trailer wheel well. It left a bunch of scraped blue paint on on my side sill and...

    Excessive front wheel brake dust?

Count me another happy GreatBrakes.com customer. I have the Dilusi brakes and use the GreatBrakes green pads for street driving. Very clean pads with NO noise. I even drove them for a few very hot laps at Texas Motorspeedway and they were fine with no fade (and the Green is only their street...

WHO HAS THE BEST DEALS ON TIRES...

Ron, Good point about the 285 size. I just had that happen to me last weekend. I was backing out of a garage with the hood open and another person saw the rubbing and made me stop. Ouch, that would have been expensive!

    VEC1

I love mine. I do a lot of driving events, and it feels like it adds a bit of torque. It also helps eliminate some of the stutter you get on the highway when the engine is loafing along.

Brake Upgrade - Alcon, Brembo or Dilusi ???

I've got the Dilusi 6 piston front, 4 rear. I absolutely love them! Right now, I'm running a street pad on them from GreatBrakes.com . When I do the track events, I switch to a much harder compound pad. At the track events, I've never been able to make the brakes fade, and I've tried so...
