Almost 2 years since purchasing my Gen 1…. Ive gone from 4K miles to 12K miles. Newness still has not worn off. Always enjoy firing it up after stressfull day at work…Some how these cars have a way of making you forget about all the worlds problems when driving them!
I agree with Clint. Saw a nice Gen 1 traded for 20K. I love my Gen 1 but they don't seem to be bringing much $$s. I hope its ok share my opinion. Just don't want the OP to get burned on price.
Can someone help me? Ive never had the original top for my 1994 Viper. Did the factory soft top come in Vinyl or Cloth material? I thought it was more of a cloth feel?
I bought my car a year ago with 4K miles on it. Car was like a museum piece except for the one missing top panel. Dealer could not or would not tell me where the missing piece was. I knew it had a piece missing before I bought the car though. Big mystery.
I got it to pull up on ebay. Very nice! . I have the same top except I'm missing the right passenger top panel. Probably have to get Jeff to build the missing piece for me.
I bought a Gen 1 this year with 4K miles on it. I paid a premium (31K) but the car is like new. If its not your daily driver, you should be fine. My biggest fear…getting caught out in the rain. As others have said, Gen 1 is not good in bad weather.
So agree with you! Ive never had so much fun driving my RT/10 too. Never get tired of it. Took it on a late evening cruise tonight burning a bunch of fuel going nowhere.
Would be nice if they would show the top and windows. Probably no AC since they dont list it. Probably not a big deal if your in a northern state. I cant drive mine during the summer days since I have no AC. Feels like an oven!
Thank you Dan! I will try to make a pic soon. Funny thing... The "Viper mechanic" never got under my car. Just looked with the hood open. Can you tell gasket type by just looking with the hood open?
I bought a 1994 at the first of this year with 4K original miles. Ive shown the head gaskets to a "Viper Mechanic" at a Dodge dealer. He says he cant really tell if they have been changed. A small Dodge dealer owned my Viper for many years. (Had it stored) Wouldn't they have changed the gaskets...
I would keep your current rims. May have been dated a few years ago but I believe they have made a come back. I get compliments all the time
on my old school Viper rims
