did you try to drive it, then shut it off and re-check?

Yup, but just in case, went and did it again but same result.

Check it with a scan tool and see if there is any indication whats wrong, maybe that just clearing the light will take care of it. We had a few cars that just seemed more finicky when changing out dead batteries.

You probably have a speed senser that has gone bad. It's not that common with Vipers but it happens. It is a quick fix that should take less than one hour to change out the sensor.

Issue resolved, apparently just needed sitting overnight.

Do what Mark suggested and put a scan tool on it anyway. When the speed sensor starts to go bad, the ABS light can go off and on intermittently. Sometimes it stays off for days then comes back on briefly, etc.
