Ouch...my knees are still shaking.
Wife was gone in the ML this morning so I decided to take the Viper out to Portland.
Once I hit the mountainrange in between the house and PDX the weather got really nasty and there was snow on the highway.

Got off on the first off ramp and made it home safely. Felt really nervous though. Span the tires a couple of times. Just had my car lowered. Even collected some snow with the front spoiler. Brother...

Rednecks flying by in huge pickup trucks. The Viper was so slow it looked like I was looking for a parking space. Well....this has not been my day so far.
I'm thankful though the car is intact. Phew !

Yves, Some of my coworkers were asking if I had my Viper today and what I would do if I got caught in the snow. I told them that no one in their right mind would have their snake out on a day like today..... Timely post my friend. :D

I know, I know,...but on Tuesday I'm leaving the country and will only see the snake back in March, when I will pick it up in Vienna.
I'm just trying to find excuses to take it out now.
This was kind of extreme though

Maybe I should try to find some Michelin Arctic Alpin tires for it. Will come in handy in Austria :)

Glad ot hear that you made it home safely, oh and glad you made it back safely too Yves :) . I live in NJ and have been caught in the snow with both my 99GT mustang (performance tires) and my just retired 98Vette (Stock Runflats) so I know the feeling of being all shookin up when you finally make it home after using your car as a sled. Well good luck on the move and it was well worth one last joyride before you leave since you made it home safely ;-).

9" here. Power out 6+ hours.....had to bring Brenda and her SRT-4 22 2-lane windy miles in 4-9" of snow. The front facia was plowing like a speedboat; 4-wheel-drive roadhogs cruising in my lane at 15 mph up hills broke my momentum, and I had to pass them, or STOP permanently. Scary.

I drove the Alcan Hiway in winter, and lived in Alaska many years. This was the worst 22 miles of my life. NEVER, EVER drive a 240HP SRT FWD in that deep of snow. Stupid.
