Hey everyone... I have done some searching on here and didn't see a section for videos. I like to enjoy a good Viper video from time to time (ok actually a ton of the time) and would love to see videos from everyone else that they have posted up to Youtube or other sites. I didn't know if this would be the way to go about having people post up links to their own videos?
If there is already a section, my apologies and just point me in the right direction.

I think what the OP was asking if there was a dedicated forum to videos? While I think we already have too many forums - it might be good to have a place for great videos. Can you store videos in the Gallery - or is that only for pictures?

Dr. Taco - I agree that is THE BEST Viper video. SRT should take note and reincarnate for the Gen 5!

Yes that was my original question. We need to have a section for videos on the VCA. I will be recording a ton of videos this year of my 01 RT-10 and would love a place to share them. Also, I read about how many guys on this site have TT setups and are running 1200-1700hp!! I want to see some videos of those beasts in action along with all the rest on here. I have seen some pretty epic footage of Vipers running against Keonigsegg's, ZR-1's, Ford-GT's, Lambo's and countless others; however, there are many I haven't seen primarily because the title may not include the words "Viper, SRT-10, GTS, RT-10, or even Dodge" so they don't show up in a search.

I had never seen the Factory Tour video before it was posted yesterday. Is there any way we can get a forum dedicated to videos like we have for just pictures? I don't want to miss any more awesome Viper footage.

You're right I am an "Enthusiast" who happens to be an owner. I was a Venom member of the VCA last year but considering I am 27 and all the owners in my region are over age 45. The only thing in common I share with them is the car I drive so I decided not to become a member this year.

But apparently because you paid the whopping $150, you feel better about posting a BS response instead of taking my post seriously. Grow up. We all share the same love of these wonderful cars.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat. It seemed like all of the events that I heard about were two hours away and I didn't even get my Viper magazine on a regular basis. I've been called out by a few guys for just being an enthusiast. I guess having had three vipers, you could say I am indeed an enthusiast lol

Anyway, here is my video. I made this as a camera test for a movie I was working on

One of the problems with finding Viper videos on Youtube, and the web on general is,... people don't name their videos to be "findable" by searches. KEYWORD YOUR VIDEOS PEOPLE!!!! Make sure you have the word "Viper" in the title if possible and the "more info" area as well.

Here's my Youtube page with all my Viper videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/getfrog?ob=0

Here's a bunch of my Viper videos... Just search for Youtube for "frogs viper".... here ya go - http://www.youtube.com/results?sear...458l0l3551l14l13l1l0l0l0l387l1720l0.5.2.1l8l0

GOOGLE Video search - https://www.google.com/search?tbm=v....,cf.osb&fp=c1b688893c75d2f4&biw=1329&bih=281

Bunch of my yellow srt vids on there. Six hours well spent.

I personally dont see why street racing vids arent allowed here. Half the members here have done it. We are americas biggest baddesst sports car. Not a porshe or lambo board. There should be a video section and street racingshould be allowed. American street racing is a part of are culture. Its a big part of why cobras and then vipers ect were made. In the 50s and 60 americans went and tested the cars head to head. This tradition still continues today.

Hey Makara,
This is probably one of my favorite videos ! Great job filming.
The So Cal Club, as you know covers a very large geographic area and events are planned in all the different areas throughout the year.
If you have any ideas for an event that may bring it a closer to you, we'd love to hear from you as we are always looking for new ideas and places to drive.

I agree with your comment re: Video Section and with what you wrote below. Hey, maybe we should also have a section called "Viper Owners That Think They Are Better Than Everyone Else" and only allow certain folks to post/read in that section only! That way they can back-slap each other all day long w/o...oh wait, there is a site like that: viperalley

Dodge Viper 2011 Nurburgring Record Blu-ray Video
Relive the exciting Nurburgring record run and go behind the scenes to find out how it all unfolded that fateful week in Germany. This awesome video includes the ACR's full record run and an even more exciting ride in the ACR-X's blistering 7:03 lap. You will be watching this one over and over again!
NOTE: This is the DVD version of the video. We also have a 1080p Blu-ray version also available here in the VCA store.

Pretty "ballsy" to be new to a forum and want to criticise, modify and/or change the forum format.

Especially when the forum is operated and paid for by members of a car club. A club that requires annual dues to be a member.

Who cares how many Vipers you have had... How does that qualify anything?
Is that some sort of "Obamaian" entitlement?

Just because you play golf, doesn't mean you can walk into the Country Club and play....

You drive a Viper and can't afford a $100 membership?....:dunno:

So the guys on the Alley think they are better than everyone else.....:omg:..
:lmao:.....I think you have that inaccurate Viper club stereotype backwards......:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Besides, who ever said they were better than anybody else?......

You are correct but you could join the VCA SoCal club while living in paradise-receive their newsletter, The Viper Magazines, and be eligible to purchase VCA Viper raffle tickets, possibly get some discounts from vendors....and help support this great VCA website.:)

Off topic, but ...... So if there was an "Owner" membership category that would allow you to support the website - would you consider that? What would you feel would be a reasonable cost for that membership category? In 4 1/2 years you have almost 3000 posts - and I would bet you've received substantial priceless advice - so is it wrong to ask for some sort of support for the website?

I realize the ? was not directed to me but I feel I should respond because I will probably be in the same boat in the near future: Interesting concept and I would think $ is a viable option...However, most "cool" sites are free: wikipedia, corvetteforum, 6speed, redstate, craigie's list, etc. To me, as long as you run a decent site and provide good service then when the time comes to raise $, "ask and you shall receive" would be preferred to forcing a membership. When comparing the two, I have donated more $ to website/groups voluntarily as opposed to being forced to contribute - Capitalism vs. Socialism, right?

I could be wrong but The Viper Mag, calculator, and insurance is probably not what most folks are interested in, based on what I have seen/heard in the short time I have been around - it's probably more all about the relationships. You also might consider opening up VOI to non-members, just have them pay more $. I understand this was possibly the procedure before so I would be curious as to what happened (if someone responds with 'perform a search' then my mindset is more-and-more confirmed!).

I guess it depends on whether you are looking at Viper/VCA from a relationship standpoint as opposed to making $. Just my 2 schillings.

What region were you in? I am on the younger end of the spectrum in my region as well, but we all hang out as one big group from mid 20's to upper 60's and beyond. The only thing you need to share in common is the car at the beginning, it is the foundation to the car club. The friendships and relationships formed from that foundation is what keeps the car club growing and making it rise above all the others.

The ugly truth is although Obama gives money to almost anything that moves, car clubs are not on his list (unless it is a EV car club! :lmao: ) so yes every VCA member will encourage every Viper owner to become a member. I have even had business cards printed for all my regional members to hand out to Viper owners they meet. Without membership revenue going out to all the regions it makes it hard to put on events and support local charities. With a membership being cheaper than a tank of diesel in my Ram 2500... the benefits FAR outweigh any negatives anyone has ever come up with.

A reasonable cost for making 3000 posts would certainly not be $600+ If people want to be members, let them be members. If people don't, don't give them crap over it. I've been a member several times before and really didn't think it was worth it for me. If people think that non members shouldn't post on the VCA site, make it members only, problem solved. ...except watch a considerable decline in traffic and shared knowledge.
