I wound 4th gear to redline - What's that, about 155-160.
Highway run at about 1am w/ no other cars in sight.
I've since installed 3.55's,,,, to slow me down.;)
And looked better doin' it!!!:rolaugh:
Glad you can enjoy your car this time of year. Our roads are clean right now (no salt on them), but it's so cold I'd be afraid to have any fun at all in my car! Damn PS2's slide all over the place in temps below ~50ish.:omg:
Did ya have fun?:drive::D
Our tracks are pretty much all closed down this time of year. Besides that, it was a 'balmy' 23 degrees today.
Work on that 60' (1.9's) and you have an easy 12.0-12.1 car!:headbang:
My Boss at my 2nd job purchased an '04 White Mamba back in '04.
That in turn convinced me to purchase an '04 SRT Ram.
Then in '05, my Boss' younger brother purchased an '04 Black Mamba. (He's now considering trading in for the new 600hp version!:2tu:)
That was all the 'teasing' I could...
I have similar mods as you on my '06 Coupe - Green Filters; Corsa Track; PS2's; 3.55's, and the DC Tune.
I actually got the Tune before the Gears, and I did feel it once I hit 3rd gear. Definitely pulls a bit harder. 1st and 2nd go by so fast it was hard to tell - Just hang-on.:drive::D
IMO...
I swapped out my RunFlats for PS2's as well, and have been planning on visiting the dealer to order an '08 Tire Kit/Compressor.
Wonder what that's gonna set me back???:dunno::omg::)
Re: New VOI9 owner, cant wait to take delivery. Need some pictures to get me through t
I had the opportunity to buy one of them when I picked up my Black coupe.
Sometimes I wish I did as they are fantastic looking, but I know I'd never drive it being one of 100.
Congrats anyway! Beautiful...
If it were me, I'd call DC and see what they think about your current mods to see if they're 'safe' with the factory tune.
Once you get the S/C, you'll need a RE-Tune anyway, so maybe you could just save your $$$ for now - assuming your not in danger of running lean or anything.
That bugged me as well on both my Viper and my DD SVT Focus(Also has HID's), so I replaced my Fog Bulbs with Nokia Arctic White Bulbs (on both cars).
They are NOT as bright as HID's, but they 'match' the HID's much closer than the yellowish stock fog blulbs, and $25/pair.
Yeah, the kit was specific for the SRT Ram. Thing is, it also included a Black Box (Ballast?) and wiring harness to make the HID's work. It was a Plug 'n Play install except for mounting the Black Box, and worked well except for the 'LampOut' light on my dashboard.
Are you saying you simply...
I'm interested but,
I put HID's in my SRT Ram a while back from a place called Blinglights.
While they worked, I also got a 'LampOut' light every time I started the truck. By turning the lights ON, the back off, the 'lampout' light would go out. I removed them because of this.
Does this...
FWIW (probably not much), I've got PS2's on my '06. I've got 3.55's, DC Tune, Filters and Corsa as well.
In the warmer weather, say 70's and above when the Blacktop is decently warm, my car will hook at WOT in 1st. When it gets cooler I spin all over the place.
I'd be willing to bet once...
Wonder why they changed the width of the stripes?
**Edit** I guess they work better with the new hood.
Not that it matters, both cars are beauty's!:2tu:
