on fresh non-heat cured paint you can get away with 1500 then compound then glaze. On OEM finish you will never get the haze out from 1500. You need start with 2000 then 3000 then compound. The oem finish is really hard and will not buff easy.
??/You have fuel if it is coming out the schrader valve. You may not be firing the injectors, the cam postion sensor also controls those as well as spark. hence my questions about checking to see if it is putting out a signal. Also a scan tool will quickly tell you if your PCM is messed up. no...
As tom said with the key on the injectors will have power all the time and ground when firing, but only when the car is cranking. You need a noid light to check and see if the injectors are seeing voltage. Did you put a scan tool on to check and see if there is a crank and cam sensor reading...
That is just not true. You only add flex agent when painting flexable body panels (ie urethane bumpers), not to discourage chipping on fiberglass. Furthermore, flex agent has a way of changing the color sometimes... These should be sealed and painted in a urethane based system. Better yet...
like i said on the alley, get a wiring dia and trace the wire from the ECU to make sure its not open/broke. then check to see that there is voltage out of the ecu when switched on.
It can if you leave it on. I used it all the time, it is much stronger than most prep cleaning solvants, but your correct for someone that doesnt do this often it probably be better to stick with prepsol or equal.
make sure to clean all the armor all and any other oils off first (with prepsol or acetone) or you will have a real mess when you paint. And put a sheet around the entire car, spray paint goes everywhere!
