The addition of water injection with the Paxton isn't really a power adder as much as a helper against detonation. If you add water injection and retune you can add horsepower, but then you're back to pushing the envelope. If the injection fails after the retune, you could be in even worse shape.
Driving around town you do have parasitic loss, when going into boost you go through 1st and second so fast they're almost useless. I know this isn't a very technical answer but it is the biggest difference I felt after I installed the Paxton. Without it you bounce off the RPM limiter...
I think you"d be further ahead selling your car and shop for a newer one in the colors you want. Changing over the colors are going to be way too expensive to be worth it.
If you're doing basically street driving you probably won't feel much difference between 3.07 and 3.33. I would probably go for 3.45 if I did it over. That's with a Paxton and exhaust.
